  • Can I fight this?

I work for a contractor that services multiple customers throughout my area. My coworker and I took a "call-out." Not to insult anyone's intelligence but to make sure we're on the same page, a call out is when a customer needs their equipment fixed the same day that it breaks. The customer has the option to schedule a different day for the equipment to get fixed. If the customer decides to schedule maintenance a different day, the customer will be charged for how much time it actually takes the technician to do the work.

The contract with this particular customer states that there will be a four hour minimum for all call-outs. So hypothetically, if my coworker and I got called out and it took us five minutes to fix the customer's problem, we would get paid for four hours of work.

We fixed the problem in about an hour's time and charged four hours (because that's what the contract between my company and the customer's company states). We than went on another job that is scheduled for 8 hours. Though the second job was not a call out, my company bills the customer eight hours because that is what the contract between my company and the customer's company states.

Our boss told us that though we got 12 hours of work done (the four hour call out and the schedule eight hours of work), we would only get paid for 8. My question is can he really do this? Though we did not physically work 12 hours, we got customers to sign our time sheet for 12 hours collectively.

  • Shooting Stance with Multiple Sclerosis?

The other day, I took my cousin shooting. She never a formal/informal instruction about shooting; so I relied on my Marine Corps experience to give her a basic run down. I was taught to lean slightly forward when firing. I tried to get her to do the same, but she continually leaned back putting her stomach in front of her chest which is the exact opposite of what should be done. She than told me she has Multiple Sclerosis and that leaning back felt comfortable to her. I told her to continue to do that because I had no idea what was the proper stance for someone with Multiple Sclerosis.

So the question is, should a Multiple Sclerosis shooter modify their stance to be more comfortable? Or should they ignore the MS?

  • honda shadow won't idle/choke leaking fuel?

I have a Honda Shadow 2001 VT600CD. I've cleaned the carburetor, and than it sat for a few weeks. After I replaced the air filter and tried to turn it on, a puddle of gas developed immediately below the air filter. I tracked it down to the area to the left of the air filter assembly (as you face it) immediately behind the point of the left triangle that the air filter assembly portrays. I've noticed that it does not idle when the gas is turned "on", and consequently, I have to keep my hand on the throttle in order to keep the engine alive AND it bleeds gas if I have the choke open more than half. When the gas is turned "off" and no matter what I do to the choke, it idles and there's no fuel leakage.

  • Admin sep-smart transcript?

I am soon to be administratively separated because of failing to make progress on my first BCP assignment (yeah I get it. Half of the people who read this are probably thinking go out and run and you won't be getting admin sep'd). The other situation is that I have a serious family situation that rated me to apply for a humanitarian transfer much closer to home (I am currently stationed in Okinawa and home is Louisiana). So to be honest, the admin sep is almost convenient at this time. My question is if it's possible to get an honorable administrative separation? I looked up the order and to get a general under honorable conditions, I have to have pros/cons of less than 3.0/2.0 or about that. My current average is 4.3/4.2. How do I go about getting a speedy admin sep AND getting an honorable admin sep? Also will my Smart Transcript be credited for when I try to take some college? Any feedback would be appreciated. Lastly, in my own defense, I am still trying to make weight before my deadline comes up. It's a long shot, but I'm still trying.

I am a Marine stationed in Okinawa. My mother was diagnosed with cancer and the prognosis will take 2years. I meet the requirements for a Humanitarian Transfer according to MCO P1000.6G. My question is how long will it take for it to get approved if it doesn't get kicked back for some reason?

  • I have a laptop with a broken screen. Can I hook it up to my other laptop in order to operate it? If so, how?

I have a laptop with a broken screen. The broken laptop has a virus on it than I now know how to remove. I would like to hook my broken laptop to my new laptop (which is running perfectly) and get rid of the virus on the broken laptop. How do I do that? What can accomplish this goal? Will the virus on the broken laptop transfer to the new laptop?
