  • How much can I charge for my gaming PC?

These are the parts I used to build it:

    CPU: AMD - FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

Motherboard: Asus - M5A78L-M/USB3 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard

    Memory: Crucial - Ballistix Sport XT 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage: Hitachi - Deskstar 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

GPU: Asus - GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card

Power: EVGA - 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Case: DIYPC - Adventurer-I8-G ATX Mid Tower Case

Operating system: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit

I built this PC about a year ago, and it still works as great as it did the first day, a good budget build. It's in great shape, but it is a year old. I spent around $700 for the parts. I was thinking, for a PC of this age and capability, already put together, I could maybe sell it to someone for $400. What do you guys think? Unreasonable? Too cheap? I have no idea how much someone would be willing to spend, especially if they aren't interested in building their PC themselves.

  • My PC won't display on my TV (through HDMI) or turn off when I press the power button?

My PC was working totally fine, then one day while I was playing a game on it, my TV's screen went blank and said "no signal." I tried to turn my computer off by hitting the power button, but it won't turn off that way. Even if I hold the button down, it won't go off. I had to unplug it. Now when I try to turn my PC on, the fan runs really loud and fast, it won't display on the TV, and I still can't turn it off normally. SOMETIMES it will work, but now its becoming more rare. I opened it up, cleaned out all the dust, and unplugged all the parts and plugged them back it. That worked before, but now its not working. What's wrong and how can I fix it? I built this computer less 5 months ago.

  • Which console is best for me?

I currently own a PS3, but I'm considering switching to PC.

So, for the rig and for trading my PS3 discs for their PC versions (for convenience), I deduced that I could swap from consoles to PC for about $450, optimistically. As a college student, this is still not ideal, and I want to save money as much as possible.

However, I know that most games coming out for PC can go on some pretty sweet sales, and I may end up saving money in the long run buy purchasing my games online rather than buying physical discs for my PS3. Plus, PC has free online play, PS4 does not.

Another concern I have is the necessity for other consoles. If I switch to PC, most of my games would be in that one convenient spot, but I would be locked out of exclusives like Uncharted 4 (and Uncharted is one of my top favorite game series of all time) and ZeldaU. I don't want to buy a gaming PC AND a PS4 AND a WiiU. I might as well stick with PS3 and then get the other consoles, buy one less system.

So really its about exclusives. What games are on PC that are not on the Playstations and WiiU?

I play mostly open-world RPGs, like Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragon's Dogma, etc. I know PC has games like the Gothic series, Risen, etc. Are there even more of these games that I could get only for PC that would warrant a switch? What about possibilities of making titles like Uncharted multiplatform? Let me know what you think. And thanks for the help!

(PS I won't get an Xbox, has no exclusives I really want)

  • What happens when servers shut down for console MMORPGs?

I know this is kind of ridiculous to ask, but I m thinking about buying Elder Scrolls Online or Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn for PS3 or PS4, and I was curious to know if these games would still be playable single-player when the servers shut down in the future. I know they most likely wouldn t shut down anytime soon, but I m curious.

  • How can I play my Wii game on PC without using RawDump?

I own a physical copy of Xenoblade Chronicles that I want to play on PC using the Dolphin emulator, but I have been unsuccessful using RawDump to copy the disc into an ISO file. I believe my DVD drive is not compatible, but I was hoping to not have to buy another one. Any ideas? Thanks

  • Why won't CollegeHumor work on my computer?

My internet is working fine and everything, nothing seems out of place, except that I can't access the collegehumor website... it's so weird, it's ONLY that site! I don't know what could be causing it. I checked isitdownrightnow.com, and it appears to be running fine. But, whenever I try to get on, it just says "This website is not available." I don't know what's up. I'm on Chrome btw

  • RPG FANS - I NEED YOUR GUIDANCE?

OK, now this is a question that's been bugging me for years now and no matter what I do, I just can't seem to be comfortable with my choice. PLEASE HELP

What RPG class best fits me?

I simply CANNOT decide. I want a class that fits who I am in real life. I know this is crazy nerdy, but it's how I make myself comfortable, I roleplay. So, here's my argument for all the major classes, and maybe you can help me pick one of them, or suggest a different one.

    Rogue

    Pros:

I am am archaeology student, and rogues match Indiana Jones and Nathan Drake

They are treasure hunters, like in the Hobbit, the burglar is called an "expert treasure hunter"

I love the outdoors, and the rogue kinda matches the wilderness ranger

    Cons:

I would never stab someone in the back, shoot them from a distance, or steal anything. I like to play fair

    Mage

    Pros:

I am an archaeology student, and mages are typically the scholars of lore, and archaeology is mostly practiced by university professors and the like

    Cons:

I want the class to be the most like me. I cannot shoot magic in real life.

Plus, I don't really like magic in a lot of games, even if some pull it off really well.

    Warrior

    Pros:

    Noble, just, stereotypical hero

The Knights Templar excavated the Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem, making them like archaeologists

The Knights of the Round Table hunted down the Holy Grail

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

    Cons:

I'm not a soldier, and fantasy warriors are all in armies and/or fight for a living

  • Which fantasy RPG class am I?

I'm currently studying to become an archaeologist, majoring in anthropology/archaeology and looking to work either as an archaeologist or a museum curator. Now, which RPG class do you think best correspond to this? I have two ideas:

This could be like the rogue class in RPGs. Like Indiana Jones, this class would be the slick, stylish adventurer that delves into ancient ruins in search of treasure. Many RPGs tie the rogue to a treasure hunter, and their skills are undoubtedly useful for finding treasure in dungeons.

My other idea is the mage. The mage is a scholar, someone that studies history. Archaeology is a very academic field, and I feel that the mage may fit better. Especially because characters like Calcelmo from Skyrim and Umbacano from Oblivion are basically archaeologists, studying and collecting ancient artifacts, and they are mages. Plus, the College of Winterhold quests have a lot to do with dwarven ruins, with the college even leading an excavation in Saarthal. And Calcalmo leads an excavation under Understone Keep. So I feel like the mage could work too..

What do you think? I like both classes, so I can't decide based solely on which i play better as.

  • Zombie survival games WITHOUT permadeath?

So many zombie games out there! DayZ, State of Decay, and the list goes on! They all seem amazing, i LOVE the concept! Zombie apocalypse, gotta scavenge and fight to survive. Cool. Except, permadeath is NOT cool. Not to me anyway. i understand that others love the realism, and i totally get that, but i cant stand the thought of being able to lose a character that i put so much time into and collected so much. so, what pc open world zombie survival games out there DONT have permadeath?

  • Skyrim help: The Forsworn Conspiracy?

Hey, I was doing to Forsworn Conspiracy, and when I made it back to the Shrine of Talos, guards had killed Eltrys and they wanted to arrest me. I understand this is all a part of the quest, however, i play as a 100% moral character, and my crimes page has nothing on it but locks picked. When I'm arrested for this quest, it adds a bounty and a time jailed and everything. Is there a way to avoid this? Usually in the Elder Scrolls, when doing big important quests like this, they don't usually require you to commit crimes like that, usually only in Thieve's Guild/Dark Brotherhood/Daedric quests...

I just didn't want to get any crimes for this, it's a generally very moral quest...

I know its ridiculous to worry just about my stats page like that, but its important to me, so dont judge

  • Skyrim: Erik the Slayer as a steward?

I'm trying to make Erik the Slayer the steward of my house, Lakeview Manor. Right now its just the small house layout. But, whenever I bring Erik to my property, nothing happens. I talk to him, and there's no dialogue suggesting that he can become my steward. But everywhere online says he's a follower that can me made a steward. Is this a bug? Is there a way to fix it? I'm on the PS3

  • Skyrim help: Can you join the Thieves Guild without stealing anything?

The Skyrim character I'm playing as is totally moral, and I make sure not to have any crimes in my stats page, including stolen items. That being said, I'm really interested in getting the Thieves Guild armor. Is it possible to work around and get in without actually stealing anything? And, if so, is it possible to do the whole questline without any stolen items appearing on my stats page? (for example, are the quest items you have to "steal" actually considered stolen?"

  • Neverwinter party help?

My friends and I are starting out playing Neverwinter, and we're trying to form the best party we can. Here's the classes all my friends picked:

    Guardian Fighter

    Control Wizard

    Scourge Wizard

And then there's me. I have a Hunter Ranger character and a Trickster Rogue. I like them both very much, and they both fit me well. I'm trying to pick which one would work best in our group, which one is more needed. We will mostly be playing PvE, I don't think we're really gonna play PvP. So, mostly just dungeon delving. Thanks for the advice!

  • Did knights really hunt for holy relics?

I'm a huge video game nerd, and I'm trying to choose what type of class I want to be in my games (knight, rogue, mage, etc.). I want to be an archaeologist when I grow up, so I'm trying to pick the class that best fits that. So, my question is, did historical knights really hunt for holy relics, like the holy grail? Legends like the story of King Arthur mention knights looking for the Holy Grail. Is that a common enough trope to justify my class selection?

P.S. Don't tell me to play whichever class I have the most fun with. I have equal amounts of fun with all of them, making my choice so difficult. It doesn't really matter to me which makes the most sense (except mage, I hate the mage), but I want to be consistent and have one class to always be.

  • Free to play MMORPG without auto-attack?

I'm looking for a free-to-play (or at least no subscription) MMORPG that doesn't use auto-attack as a combat system. I want a more involved attacking system where I'm the one that controls and initiates every single swing of my weapon. Definitely looking for a fantasy/medieval setting.

  • Are there any good fantasy MMORPGs that don't FEEL like an MMO?

I really don't prefer the feeling of playing an MMO, with the way the camera and character movement works, you know what I mean? It doesn't have the same gameplay feel as, say, a regular action RPG. Which are my favorite kinds of games. Now, my friends and I want to play a game where the four of us can play together cooperatively, so we figured an MMO is our best bet. But we're looking for one that feel more like a regular action RPG or hack-and-slash game. You know, without that huge hotkey bar along the bottom, no weird camera that zoomed out, moving your character with WASD moving in the four directions, not W moving forward and A and D turning to the side. I know this may sound weird, but I'm wondering if there's anything even close to this. Oh, and free-to-play. Or at least no monthly subscription.

  • Which MMORPG is closest to Elder Scrolls Online?

My friends and I are looking for a great MMO, and we're huge Elder Scrolls fans, but the price tag for ESO is just way too high. We're looking for the most similar game we can get, but it has to be free-to-play. And fantasy, obviously.

  • Which MMORPG is best for me?

I'm looking for an MMO that's, well, the least like an MMO. Here's what I'm looking for:

    1. Great co-operative play so me and my friends can each choose different classes, take different roles, and set out together

    2. An emphasis on PvE, we don't like PvP

    3. The SIMPLEST design we can get; we're not into complicated games, we're looking for the closest thing to a regular action RPG we can get, more like hack-and-slash than loads of move combinations and stats and stuff that really just clutters the HUD. Don't need that.

    4. Free to play

And for the record, I haven't played an MMORPG since I was like ten years old, which was Runescape. I'm way new to the MMO game, so don't be shy about suggesting obvious ones that fit my criteria above: chances are I don't know about the game.

    Thanks for your help!
