  • Smith and Wesson SD9 VE?

Opinions? New to concealed carry. Is this a good piece? I have larger hands so something with a minimum 10 rounds would be perfect. Any other good recommendations for an entry level EDC? Also looking at an S&W M&P M2.0 Compact 9mm.

  • What should I do with my Roth IRA?

So I opened a Roth IRA a few years ago. I only put about $5 every two weeks until i started making more money. Fast forward to 2018, I failed to hold at least $500 in there and as a result, the bank closed my account and sent me a check. Here's the problem I face. I am having a hard time rolling it over into another account. My payout was $230. I am far younger than 59 1/2 so I will incur a tax penalty if I cash it. I know I can't throw it into a Traditional IRA. Should I just take the tax penalty and put it into my investment account?

  • How to fix a broken auxilliary port?

We own a 2009 Nissan Murano. We had an auxilliary cable plugged into the audio ports. One of them broke in the port and we are unable to fish it out. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get it out? Can I remove the center console easily to get to it? Do I need to take it in? How much can I look at paying?

  • Advice for beginner golfer?

I played my first round the other day and really enjoyed it. I am aware that clubs off the shelf are designed to accomodate males around 5 foot 10. I am currently 6'1''. Would this create a problem or should I think about getting custom clubs? Any recommended lower-end beginner golf sets just so I am positive I want to take this up? Thanks for all your help.

  • Tax write-off for flight lessons (TAX EXPERTS ONLY)?

I am a current Air Traffic Controller. I know ordinarily you would be unable to write-off flight lessons, unless it is for business purposes. But, though it is not required, having a pilot's license helps me in career progression. Can I justify this as a business expense and take advantage of a deduction?

  • Expanding RAM without replacing motherboard?

I have been researching replacing my motherboard in order to give myself additional RAM memory, primarily for gaming but also for personal and business use.. I did notice it takes a lot of work to do this. My computer is only capable of expanding to 8 GB of RAM (which I currently have). Is there a way to expand this without replacing the entire motherboard?

  • FSX Default CRJ-700 Files?

I somehow deleted the CRJ-700 off of my FSX. Does anyone know where I can find the ORIGINAL files, including sounds, gauges, etc? Original as in out-of-the-box files, not any of the repaints found on various websites. Thank you in advance for your help.

  • US Airspace Designations?

I am a real-world ATC so I know the requirements to operate in and around airspace, but what I would like to know is how is Class B, C, and D airspace decided? I know that if it has an operating control tower, it is automatically Class D for the hours the tower is in operation. But, what determines if an airport gets bumped up to Class C or B airspace? Passenger enplanements and deplanements? Airline operations? Does anyone have any insight on this?

  • Private Pilot written test cost?

One of my New Year's resolutions is to finally earn my pilot's license. I have an instructor lined up, and can get access to a plane. My instructor tells me I should take the PPL written test before I get near a cockpit. I'd just like to know about what it'll cost me to take the test? Any good resources to prepare for it? Thanks in advance for all your help.

  • Professional Aviation Organizations?

I am looking at gaining a stronger foothold in the industry by joining some professional organizations. I have looked into becoming an Associate member with AAAE but they are asking way too much money to be a member. Does anyone know of any organizations I might be able to join for a nominal price? I appreciate all the help I can get in this matter.

  • What is this airline?

I was looking through some old (VERY old pictures. Some are 10-15 years old, still on 35mm film too). The picture appears to have been taken at Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood Intl Airport sometime in the mid-90's. The aircraft is a white A300 with a purple tail with a golden horseshoe shape on it. At the front of the fuselage it says "Royal". I consider myself an avid aviation enthusiast and don't remember what I was taking a picture of. Is this a special aircraft or is this an airline I am unaware of?

  • Random sound files playing?

I have been having some strange problems with my computer lately. The first problem occurs when I use Google (only Google for some reason). I type my search in the box, the results come back

normal, yet when I click on a link, even if it is the correct one, it redirects me to a completely different site that has nothing to do with my search (Tanzinga! seems to be the favorite)

My next problem is with Vista (all jokes aside). My screen would flash, and the task bar at the bottom of the screen would turn all white, for no reason.

#3 is Windows update. Despite me telling it several times to automatically install updates, it tells me it cannot and coming back with error code 80072EFE

The most recent is occurring today. I have a random sound file playing somewhere in the background of my system. It seemed to be a advertisement for upcoming video games. All of my media players are closed, and I had no websites open that had a sound file attached to them.

I have run all my scans several times and they have come back clean every singe time. It's driving me nuts. Can someone help?

  • Foreign Bank Account?

I recently came into a bit of money (legal and legitimate). I would like to invest it in a CD for a while, but the interest rates in most US banks are abysmal. Does anyone know of any foreign banks that will allow US citizens to invest? I am simply doing this for the higher rates. I checked the typical Swiss and Cayman accounts, but they are catered to the ultra wealthy. I am looking for a bank the same caliber as B of A, Chase, or something like that. I appreciate everyone's help in this matter.

  • Questions to ask a control tower?

I am currently an ATC student who will be graduating in December. In order for me to get a foot in the door to the FAA, I am trying to get on board with a contract tower facility (yes, I know most of them only hire experienced controllers). I am supposed to call one of these towers this week and I would like to know if anyone can give me any suggestions regarding questions I should ask to the manager I speak to. I am just on a fact-finding mission right now instead of assuming I have a job, so no questions about salaries or benefits or anything like that. I appreciate all your help in this matter.
