I want to start watching the Office. I've seen a few episodes, but in order to understand the plot of the newest season do I have to watch from the beginning?

What do the kids think they are accomplishing? I know it's just a show, but there are many real life scenarios like that. Most kids in public school couldn't give a rat's a$$ about mathematics, science, etc. that will help them for a lifetime yet they waste their precious learning years on useless $h1t like afterschool singing clubs. "We're at the bottom of the social scene!" "We don't have the auditorium for a week! *tears*" All this USELESS, WASTE OF TIME, $H1T. This is why public schools are such failures. I'm not saying dramatic arts aren't important, but these kids do absolutely NOTHING but it! (I don't want to brag, and I am thankful for being privileged, but...) I just finished 10th grade in a private school and I can do advanced calculus and college level chemistry, while studies have shown that in American public schools the average 18 year old has trouble with 5th grade math and 4th grade reading! Why don't public schools start emphasizing on learning that will get the kids into university instead of these useless social ploys that will be the kids' "glory days" as they flip burgers and push a button at a factory for the rest of their life?! I pity these kids, I really feel sorry for them, and it angers me that the rich politicians don't do anything to help. I'm not even complaining out of personal experience, as I attended a top notch private school, but watching Stupid in America made me feel really, really bad for these kids and made my realize how fortunate I am.

I absolutely hate alarm clocks. I always get a headache and it really isn't a pleasant way to wake up. I've even tried ascending volume, relaxing chimes, etc. but it's all really annoying. Thing is, if I don't have it wake me up I sleep for hours on end like a little princess o_O So any methods you guys use to wake up naturally, but on time?

How come if I read or learn about something, I suddenly start seeing/hearing/reading about it in books, on TV, etc. I don't think it's confirmation bias, because I'm a very diligent reader and immediately cling to any words or ideas that I don't know the meaning of. But then when I do see a new-ish word it's something that I've learned about very recently. For example, I found out what "ruminating" is this morning, and just now I read an article that used the word. Don't think that I think it's some mystical/spiritual/"magnetic attraction" bullshit I have to these words, I know it's just a little trick my mind is playing on me. Does anyone else experience this?

I just finished 10th grade. I had straight As and a C+ in French. That's how much I hopelessly suck at French. It cripples my GPA and I ended up getting a 3.87 instead of a potential 4.00 thanks to French. Advanced mathematics? No problem. Advanced sciences? Lay it on me! English? Yup! History? For sure! But French, GAH, DOES NOT COMPUTE. Therefore I have decided, for the sake of my innocent GPA, not to take French in 11th and 12th grade. Don't get me wrong, j'adore les French girls, parce-que they are tres chaud, but learning the language really grinds my gears. Will McGill accept just 2 years of French (as long as I keep As in other classes)?

PS. Please don't say "Well McGill is in Montreal so you really should become fluent in French!" No thanks. 54% of the student body there is not French-native, and I have heard that most people are bilingual and there are almost no situations where an adept knowledge of French is required. This question is not about learning French so that I can live well in Montreal, it is about getting accepted into McGill. Thanks!!

PPS. I'm going to graduate from an Ontario private boarding school, if that makes a difference, where the req. is 2 years of language.

I just finished 10th grade and took an introductory Chemistry course which in my opinion was not very rigorous. I have signed up for AP Chemistry at the boarding school I am going to next year and want to prepare myself for the course during the summer. Help books like Barrons and PR are only helpful while/after taking the course, when you're studying for the exam. I want something to study -before- I take the course to get up to scratch or even a head start. So is http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/AP_Chemistry a good idea?

Right now when I opened Google Chrome, one of the page thumbnails showed a gallery of differently colored themes for Chrome. I clicked on it and it pointed to https://tools.google.com/chrome/intl/en/themes/ind... but gave a 404 Not Found error. Anyone know what the hell is going on?

No matter which combination of settings I use (PC version) I always get a much better framerate in the Imperial City compared to other cities like Chorrol or Cheydhenal. Does anyone know why this is? For example, if I'm getting 30 fps in Imperial City, I'll get about 15 in others. WHY?
