Ok I am an alcoholic and the effects of that is anger issues. I do not attend AA, nor will I. If you have suffered from this, then you know it is outright enraging to have someone tell you what is right and wrong. Anyways, lately I have been thinking about seeing a Psych. about getting medication for my mood swings. I really, do not like nor trust this route, but what else can I do? The only thing that changes my mood is alcohol and I do not want to go there. Do you know of any non-medical ways to relieve anger?

My husband was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes last night and had to spend all night in the ER with a blood sugar reading of over 400. He still has a high reading, but is not on medication, which shoudl kick in, in a day or two. What else should we do? What was the most helpful steps that you took?
