  • Are there any eyewitness, first-hand accounts of Jesus in, or outwith, the Bible?

First off, not wanting to debate the existence of God or of Jesus. I just want to know if there are any first-hand eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus. If people could give specific references rather than yes/no answers that would be useful.

  • Who first said the quote along the lines of: "I will never die, it is the world that will end"?

I've heard a few versions of that quote, I'm wondering who first said it. Basically it refers to the end of "I" when we die, and that we never have an experience of death because our perceived reality simply ends.

  • In British society, why are "posh" people universally unpopular?

Disclaimer: I'm from a community high school background and very scottish so not posh in the slightest, but very curious.

Watching Big Brother on the television, when they are going through the list of names, only the token "posh" toff gets a strong boo reaction from the crowd, whilst the self proclaimed "player" who "dresses like Dappy" gets a strong applause.

This makes me question, why do traditional, country type people with the standard posh accent, reminiscent of olden day english men, have such universal scorn from the working and middle classes in British society?

Would prefer answers from people who have studied in the field or looked into the issue deeply.

    Thanks!
