  • High RPM - Car lurches, shuts off?? Help?

Hey, I have a 1992 300zx non-turbo that whenever I hit the 5k + range for RPM, the car seems to "lurch" forward a little bit and it seems like i momentarily lose power for just a second then back to normal. Do Not notice it under 5k at all, it did not do this before I had my starter replaced and battery changed, of that much I'm positve. Does anyone have any ideas, ?

  • Overheating issue with 2000 Jeep Cherokee Laredo??

hey, I just bought a 2000 jeep cherokee laredo a few days ago and before I take it back to them tomorrow to tell them to fix their s***, I thought I would see what you guys had to say, I dont know much about cars, but two days after I bought it was sitting at a car wash and look down and temp gauge is pegged out and smoke pouring out the front, I shut it off, and saw there was no coolant whatsoever. I filled it up and went on my way, now I have noticed if I sit at a red light or anywhere for a minute or two it starts creeping up towards the high end of the temp gauge then when I start moving and air flow coming in, it goes back to normal-ish. Any ideas? thanks.

  • Trapped in the Friend Zone [ is there help? ]?

whats up guys, I've know this girl for about 3 years, I met her and we instantly hit it off and through a third person known commonly as the DUFF we both knew, she got us to know each other better, we hung out a lot, mostly with the third wheel riding shotgun which got annoying after a while, and I eventually shook her loose, we went on a few dates, never went out officially though, and since then we've kept in contact even though we no longer live in the same place, yet, I still have a thing for her, but I get mixed signals from her all the time, like little text message haikus and whatnot, letters most of the time [ no email...? ] but yet, she makes no effort or seems to make it like she doesn't care to visit me, am i forever trapped in the friend zone? I'm afraid so, but I'd like to hear other opinions on it

  • How to tell if your fuel pump is dead? or timing belt broken?

hey, my car won't start, it turns a little bit like [ turn turn "loud screeching " ] it sounds like the engine is about to crank but it doesn't catch. Could it be the fuel pump? or could my timing belt have busted? If so, how could I check these? I have already swapped the battery with a known good one, still bad. Also, if anyone has any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this, all ideas are welcome, thanks!

  • Car will not start now : (?

I posted one the other day on this, at first my car was starting a little rough like it needed effort to crank, then later that day, it would not start at all. I swapped the battery with a known good one and no dice. Same problem. If I had to describe the sound it makes, it would be like " Turn turn sccreeeeeeechhh [like a really loud RC Car] " It tries to crank once or twice then screeches. Any ideas? Thanks,

  • Car -- Goes from rough to start to not starting at all. :(?

hey, today when I cranked up the z i noticed it had started a little rough, it sounded like it was trying to turn and then it finally did with what sounded like some effort. I didn't really pay any attention because it seemed fine once the engine was running. Later on, I started it again, it sounded a little rougher this time and I noticed that the oil pressure was pretty slow to come up, but when I hit the gas it came up to like 45 psi then dropped to about 30ish. To investigate, I shut it off, opened the hood, and tried to start again...fail. It made a sound like when you grind gears, but a lot deeper, tried to crank and died. I'd rather not try it again to not ruin something, I don't really know that much about cars and was hoping someone would be able to steer me in the right direction, thanks.
