This is so damn frustrating and, sigh, whatever.

I bought my Samsung S630 digicam last Saturday and while I was testing the macro today, I accidentally stepped on uneven ground and accidentally smashed the lens towards the wall.

Now the lens remains extended even without the battery, and angles slightly to the left with a little dent on it. When I turn it back on, the LCD just displays the Samsung logo and nothing happens.

Anyone who has had a similar problem? I've tried every forum out there but nothing worked. I'm afraid this isn't covered by the warranty, so wonder how much this will cost me.

i accidentally deleted my drive d: partition via windows' disk manager. i cant live without the files in there. how can i recover them? ive used PC inspector but it just doesn't work. please help. thanks.

when i turn on my pc, everything seems to be fine, except that theres nothing shown on my monitor, but the led light is green. i have no vid card and its connected to onboard graphics. help!

both cartridges, the tri-color and the black, are not empty, thats for sure. if i print a text in black, sometimes it prints it in color or sometimes, the cartridges move during the printing process but nothing actually is printed on the paper. i have tried cleaning the cartridges, manually and via the clean option of my printer, but nothing worked. its an hp. thanks.

i just made a fresh install on one of my second hard drive. and i decided to format my other drive, which contains my older installation of XP. however, i cant format my hard disk because of some adobe and macromdedia dll files that cannot be deleted. i tried formatting it using the command prompt, to no avail. i need help on this one, on how can i format my disk. thanks. any cleaning software you know of thats free on cnet?

help! im really sick of this MAJOR problem with microsoft word. whenever i use the textbox and the shapes tool, it keeps shutting down telling that it needs to close because it has encountered a problem. i tried installing different versions of office, but the problem is still there. i dont really know the cause of the problem. thanks.

it says something like, unmountable boot volume, and i tried removing the new ram and reinstalling the old one and the problem is still there. i dont think that ram compatibility is the problem coz my old ram is DDR too. someone said about using the recovery console in the XP installation CD but i think i lost mine. any other way to fix this? thanks.

i just downloaded this neat transformation pack called FlyaKite OS X, but i think it deleted my Windows Movie Maker transitions, slows down tab switching in firefox, and causes delay in typing in firefox. aside from that its all good. what should i do?

is ghz the real measure of a cpu's speed? a pentium says its 2.66ghz, but a dual core is only 2ghz. which is faster? and what does dual core or quad actually mean?

my hard drive seems to be noisier than usual, as its spins so loudly whenever the pc is busy. the computer also restarts during boot, probably because of this. it runs the bios, then the windows xp logo. but it always restarts, and everytime it restarts, the bios says something about not detecting any hard drive. when i shut it down and leave it for a while then turn it on again, the bios detects the hard drives, but it restarts the boot again, and then its the same problem again. i am currently running on a live cd of kubuntu to ask help.

btw, i have a primary and a slave hdd, both seagates. i run repair on an xp installer cd, and ran CHKDSK. it says that there is one or more error in drive c, where windows is installed. could this be the problem? if so, how can i fix this without having to format and lose all my data? please help, a lot of projects have been postponed because of this. could this be a hardware problem or a software? my motherboard is an asus. thanks!!!

if i put my ears near the pc, it sounds like a low-horsepower air conditioner. but at a distance, i hear this humming sound that gets noisier if the pc is busy. is this the fan itself, the CPU fan, or the hard drive? without the new fan the system sounds ok. is there a way that i can just leave the fan there so as to increase ventilation but not experience all these noise?

i tried emptying the temporary internet files, scanning the PC for spywares or viruses, restarting it, tuning off the modem for a while, bu nothing seems to work. my neighbor hooked up on the same dsl service is not experiencing any problems. what should i do? its not internet explorer that only slows down, but also limewire, yahoo messenger, and software updates that need connection to the internet. aside from calling my isp, what should i do?

i really wanna try kubuntu out. but it takes forever to download it from its site, even fro,m different location points. is there some sort of way to download it faster, or even just more convenient, like an option that the download can be paused and resumed. please help, the download takes 5 to 9 nine hours even on broadband. thanks!

what could be the cause? what should i do? i dont want to lose all of my important data. i recently removed a partition that contained the linux installation but windows seemed to run perfectly fine after that. but now it just wont start up! i badly need your help! my pc is currently running on a live cd of a linux ubuntu.

my slave drive is 40GB. while installing linux, i used it as a destination drive and i was asked if i would use the whole drive, or just a part of it. i set it to 30 percent, but now it seems that the drive is actually just that small and i dont know where the 70 percent went. help!!

WUBI makes the installation of linux a whole lot easier, but id like to skip it from downloading the ISO file since i have it already. how do i tell WUBI that ive already donwloaded the ISO file and tell it its location? i need your help, since the downloading of the ISO takes 6 to 9 hours!

or should i really do the shift from winows to linux? i tried to download linux from the net, but i am confused with all these options. which one is better, ubuntu, xubuntu, or kubuntu? what are their pros and cons?
