  • Can car tags be transferred state to state?

We are moving from Virginia to Florida in August. We have VA plates with 2012 tags. Also, in VA annual state car inspections are required and you have to have a sticker on your car to prove it. To avoid having to come back every year for the inspection we want to get FL plates. Can we transfer the 2012 stickers in FL so we don't have to pay the fee for 2010, 2011 and 2012 over again?

  • Family friendly neighborhoods near Jacksonville Naval Air Base?

My husband, daughter and I are being re-stationed to Jacksonville and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good area to live? Good schools, parks, low crime, etc. We are thinking about buying a house down there.

  • How do I remove an iPod from my iTunes?

So I am giving my old iPod to my sister and, if I remember correctly, your iPod is only allowed to be connected to 3 computers and I'm afraid that I have hit that limit. How do I remove this iPod from iTunes so she can use it? Its the original iPod Shuffle if that makes any difference.

  • Will the water be safe to drink?

Leaving on a family cruise next month and bringing small children with us. Going to Puerto Rico, St. Maarten and Haiti. No too concerned about Haiti because the port is privately owned by Royal Caribbean but what about the other two? Does anyone recommend sticking to bottled water? What about the mixed drinks that have ice in it? Forgive me if I seem paranoid but I've never traveled outside the US besides Canada.

How did you like it, is it reliable and is it worth the money you have to pay?

  • Everett, WA Naval Base MWR?

My husband might be named Sailor of the Quarter soon and he has asked me to contact MWR in Everett to feed the live television from Norfolk, where we are from, to Everett. Does anyone know this number? I've tried to look for it online but no good luck.

  • Where is my BAH?

So I just moved from VA to WA while my husband is overseas. We have removed the apartment we were living in from allotments and my husband says he has done all the paperwork needed to start recieving the full amount into our account. I have the number to contact the Navy housing office in Norfolk and I will contact them on Monday. We paid the apartments for the month of November and I thought we would get the money around the 1st or 15th of this month. Just wanted to know what could be going on and if it is normal for it to be a month or two late (hope not!).

  • What does "Mid-Month-Pay" mean on my husband's LES? Please help, confused!?

My husband is deployed and I was looking to see when our allotment for BAH would would be cancelled through our old apartment and start coming into our checking account. Under the deductions catagory it says, along with taxes and such, "Mid-month-pay 1295.09". What does this mean exactly and does it have anything to do with us not recieving the full amount for BAH?

  • Could my baby be having nightmares?

I had my 7 month old daughter in bed with me one morning and she fell asleep. About 45 minutes later she all of a sudden started screaming and crying, (with her eyes closed), and I couldn't wake her up to comfort her. It lasted for a good minute then she stopped and was peaceful again. She does it every once in a while when she's in her room at night (lasts about the same amount of time). What do you think this might be?

  • Will I still get basic allowance for housing?

My husband is leaving soon on cruise for 6 months and I leave our apartment on November 10th. I am going to live with my parents while he's gone and paying them rent. Do we need to let the housing people on base know where I will be living or will the money still come automatically into our account? I'm pretty sure they cannot take it away completely from servicemen with dependants but we're not really sure how this works exactly.

  • Is it too late to train my 13 year old dog?

She barks at everything from knocks at the door, doorbells, (on TV and not), and other dogs and people walking by our back door. We got her from the pound about 5 years ago and still can't break her of this habit. She just doesn't understand "no" and a little smack on the nose along with it. Any ideas? Not interested in shock collars or anyhting like that.

  • Are there certain fruits or veggies that my daughter shouldn't have before her 1st year?

I'm making my own baby food and carrots, squash, apples and bananas are getting kind of old.
