1-I was wondering how long after the implanon is placed, does it take effect? Is it like other birth control stuff that is 7 days after, or right away?

2-What symptoms if any did you gave right after or hours After it was placed?

3-What side effects did you have?

4-If you got it removed to try & get pregnant, how long after did you actually get pregnant or how long have you been trying?

5-LAST, what did you like most about it & do you recommend it?

My baby boy is 5 weeks old, his nose is extremely stuffy..its has been for the past 5 days but it just seems to be getting worst even though i clean it daily, & his doctor told me to put in saline drops(1 on each nostril to help the boogers come out lol sorry tmi) I do that but nothing seems to be helping and when he sleeps it even seems as he is snoring (its pretty loud)! Since yesterday he has been having a bad cough like when you have a cold type but his temperature doesn't seem high, just took it about 45min ago & it was 98.1, also today he has been really fuzzy ( he usually doesn't cry much i even have to wake him up to eat sometimes ) and cries when he coughs I'm a first time mom & i'm just worried sick for my baby i want him to feel better & be able to sleep comfortably :( any advice on what i can do to help his stuffy nose get better? All advice is appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Also i had a humidifier but it just stopped working yesterday, i am going to get another one but is there anything that i can put in it to help? ive heard vicks?

My baby boy is 1 week old, he wouldn't latch on since my milk didn't come in until the 4th day and I'm feeding him formula at the moment. He eats about every 2 1/2 hours to 3 (2 ounces ) but he seems to be hungry still, what's the ideal amount of formula for a newborn to drink?

I had a c section, my milk didn't want to come in until the 4th day, so I had to give my little boy formula. I really want to breastfeed him but he won't latch on! I pump and give it to him in a bottle then feed him some formula since he still is hungry. Any suggestions on how to get him to latch on?? Also any suggestions on what to use for stretch marks?

Ok so my due date is July 20,this is my first pregnancy. When I was 34 weeks I was checked & I was at 1cm due to dehydration I was having bad contractions, but they stopped them with IV. I haven't been checked since then, my midwife said she'll check me on my due date which is my next appointment. I've been having contractions today pretty constant and about 10 minutes ago I went to the restroom, and I had never seen this so I'm guessing it was my mucus plug.? It was a clearish /white discharge about an inch long but no blood, was this it???? Does this mean I can go into labor, or should I call my midwife? It's my first baby like I said so I don't know much & really need help!!

At 34 weeks i got dehydrated and was having strong contractions, they stopped them at the hospital with 2liter of some type of medication through IV. I got checked and was 1cm dilated, i am now 38 weeks and 2 days. I was having constant braxton hicks before that, and after that day for two weeks (up until week 36) i didn't have any, i do get strong contractions now though. Could the medication they put on me affected me having contractions or going into labor soon?

And second, i never saw my mucus plug come out but i am dilated to 1 since that last time i got checked, could i just have not noticed?

Why is it said pregnancy lasts 9 months(which is 36 weeks) if it's actually 40 weeks which is 10 months? It just curiosity since it frustrates me lately people ask me how far alone are you? and i say 9 1/2 months because i'm 38 weeks and they start this big argument as if i'm stupid or something for saying that?

I live in Denver, CO. I was looking for an estimate in my area of how much this will cost me, and also I've been hearing around it's not recommended to be done on Honda's yet my mechanic told me to get it done, when some work was done to the tranny, he would've done it but he doesn't have the equipment. Any advice on that? Also where could i go to get it done, any highly recommended places? Thanks in advance :)

At 35 Weeks I was going into pre-term labor due to dehydration, they stopped my contraction with iv. (2 liters.) I was wondering if this could affect my chances of going into labor anytime soon since they were stopped that one time? Also i was 1cm dilated, that means i lost my mucus plug right? because i never realized it

I'm 35 weeks pregnant, i was told i had really low levels of iron since i was 17 weeks pregnant. At first my midwife told me to take my prenatal vitamin & an iron pill daily with orange juice, so i did that. Then afterwards at about 23 weeks my iron levels hadn't changed much, so my midwife told me to take one iron pill in the morning then my prenatal vitamin at noon, and before bedtime another iron pill she said this would help my body absorb the iron better; all of them with orange juice of course. Yet this Saturday i went into Labor & Delivery because i was having contractions they stopped them with an iv though, and they did all their tests and all that, they told me once again that im very anemic, they've never told me the number or whatever that is that says my iron levels but in total daily i am consuming 64mg of iron. How much mg of iron are needed during pregnancy???? I was wondering what risks me & my baby have now during my pregnancy up until i give birth? & any remedies that i can do to bring up my iron levels. I'm very concerned for both my baby's and my health. I have done all the things that my midwife and doctor told me to do that's why I'm asking for other opinions & advice, ideas anything that can help

I'm 33 Weeks & 6 Days Pregnant. I just started to think of this doubt that i have and i was wondering, I'm not sure if my mucus plug fell out already since I've had discharge through out my whole pregnancy. My doctor said in this case i probably wouldn't notice when it falls out. So, i was wondering if it was that it hasn't yet is it even possible for me to be having Braxton Hicks? I'm pretty sure what I've been feeling for the past 3 hours are some type of contractions, i just don't know if braxton or real????? What makes me have this doubt is they were like 3 mins apart and lasted about 1-2 minuets. Can somebody explain this to me please?

So i Have Been Going To My Prenatal Check-Ups Since i Found Out i Was Pregnant (Which was at about 5-6 Weeks). The Clinic i Go To Is Rose Midwifery (Denver, CO) So When They Scheduled My First Ultrasound At 12 Weeks At This Ultrasound Place At That Hospital. Then i Had My Next Ultrasound at 20 Weeks, Which Was March 3rd (We Found Out The Baby's Sex That Day). So My 2nd To Last Doctor's Appointment i Was Measuring 33cm & i Was Supposed To Measure 27 ( This Is What i Was Told By My Midwife, & i Was 29 weeks). She told me if i kept growing so quick, she was going to schedule another ultrasound to see how big the baby was. So i just went 2 weeks ago again, and i asked when i would have another ultrasound, and she said there's no need for an ultrasound unless you have complications??? (Most of the time a different midwife is there for each appointment) I measured 34 At this appointment. So i was wondering its been 13 weeks almost 14 since i got an ultrasound, shouldn't i be having another one done???

Okay... so I've been craving some pretty weird stuff that people around me say are bad so they've put me thoughtful for the safety of my baby :) So for the past 2 or 3 weeks I just get this sensation to smell rubbing alcohol really bad i have no idea why?... I mean it's not like I need it every second of the day but i smell it like twice a day, specially at night.? Has anybody had this experience? I'm afraid it's bad for my baby so I've been avoiding it for the past few days. But this is me before i was pregnant I've always liked strong smells i have no idea why, I'm just drawn to some strong smells, I don't do drugs or anything so it seems kind of unexplainable to me?..I'm a nail technician so I used to deal with the smells of acrylic nails before but since I graduated I haven't smelled any of that at all :) Also I crave ice a lot and people tell me it's bad I don't know why they tell me that but I'd just like some advice & opinions, please.

& yes I am going to tell my midwife about this at my next appointment I just need some advice meanwhile :)

I just bought my puppy the owner told me she was up to date on her shots but i want to make sure. What do i need in order to take her to the vet, since i didn't get any papers. She's purebred but i had to pay 80 more to get the paper and my boyfriend decided not to? So help me please

So my sister got tested positive for chlamydia, she got treated last week (4 Pills) She told her bf Apparently she probably got it from him; but anyways he took the pills too but different ones 14 pills for a week 2 each day. They were told not to have sex until the week passed but i guess she says mistakes happen, and they did, BUT with a condom, does this affect their treatment or what happens? PLEASE ANSWER IF YOUR INFORMED IM WORRIED ABOUT THEM SPECIALLY MY SISTER OF COURSE TTHANKS!!! ;)
