guy wit questions

I got a phone call phone a guy saying he was from a company supplying my natural gas (an ESCO of Con Edison-cant remember the name). He said that the ny government prevented some monopoly stuff and that because of this I would recieve a discount. And asked me to verify my info (my address, name, con edison acct number). He gave me two names. My name, and my dad. I do not know how they got my name since I'm not even on the Con Edison bill. They got my address right. When they asked for the acct number, I said I didnt have any lying around so he would call back tomorrow. He also asked what was the current name under the acct, and if he got the name correct, but kept insisting I get my old con edison bill to see if the name was correct. But later I got him to call back tomorrow. I kept saying "what" to pretend i couldnt hear, and everytime he talked he chuckled a little after every sentence.

This is obviously scam right? The number that shows up in my caller id doesnt have enough numbers like a normal 1-212-123-4567. it only had 9 digits which was 21-212-8752

If the guy calls again tomorrow what should I do?

Okay so yesterday i shut down my laptop (I have not installed anything) The only thing attactched was my usb cooler pad and my wireless mouse.

so the next morning i turn it on and it doesnt get past the windows vista load screen ( the black screen with the green bar moving right).

It wont load in safe mode either.

So, i try to do system restore, but for some reason it cant find any restore points. I also try to do system repair, it cant find any reason to why its not starting. It also checked the disk for erros, didnt find any.

So what can i do? I dont want to use the recovery disk.

i was planning to buy the new intel processors that were just released.

would a intel e5420 xeon processor socket 771 fit on a motherboad that is socket 775?

My tooth just recently chipped a tiny piece off as i do not drink much milk nor any calcium rich products.

I was wondering how the calcium in the milk helps, like does the calcium need to touch your teeth while you are drinking it to be stronger, or does the calcium in your blood stream help it to become stronger?

i was trying to overclock my computer while i overclocked it too much, so i reset cmos.

when i start the computer, it would usually say verifying dmi pooldata... update success, but i dont get the update success part anymore?

could any1 tell me whats wrong and what the verifying dmi pooldatat means and how i could get the update success message back?

i was wondering if i could fit a video card into a server that im goning to build. everyone is telling me that i cant, and when i goto dell.com or some other computer website, it doesnt say i could add a video card to it.

Is that true?

if i build one myself, could i fit one into it?

and if someone could tell me step by step on how to build a server, plz tell me and maybe some pictures or website

what does dados mean

while im playing counter-strike, my teammates always say dados and im like what does that mean, and they're like google it.

i look at google, i couldnt find what it means.

okay this is my freaken 5th time typing this cuz im being disconnected over and over. mad pissed so i'll be straight to the point.

i had earthlink cable thru timewarner for some years. it was supper fast, now it sucks hard ***

i get disconnected all the time, im discconected more than im connected. i have the 5 mb plan, but i only get up to 200kbps and sometimes slower than dial up

the lights are flashing on my modem but no cable signal sometimes. i changed my modem with timewarner several times, but same problem occurs. i called them up, they tell me to reset it all the time = crap help

i had a technican come serveral times, but problem was fixed the day b4 they came, so i canceled everytime. but occured again after like a week.

My wires are all connected fully & correctly, i checked and checked. nothing wrong.

although there was a blockout last week, time warner says this was the problem but this has occured for 6 months for me.

help

any1 have this problem?

i charged it for like 4 hours and 30 mins so far, does the first charge usually take longer than dat?
