I work as a Systems Analyst by trade so I research and solve problems all day. Sadly, I help friends and family solve their problems by night. (I must be sadistic to do this to myself. :-) ) I was a peer counselor in school so I listened and advised on problems of a more personal nature. I guess I could have chosen a different line of work! But I am a technology freak and even if I don't buy all the latest gadgets, I at least read about them and read peoples comments on them. Comes in handy for those questions: "Do you know about this item?" "No personally, but I hear lots of people are very happy with it." :)

  • What is the use of an 8-speed automatic transmission?

    Unless you live out in the Mid-west with LOTS of open road, I can't see the point. I can tell you in Miami you will likely NEVER get past 6th much less 8th.

    I supposed you could save *some* gas on long trips but I think the automakers are looking for more gimmicks. (don't get me started on auto-parallel parking!)

    The scene opens with a van filled with explosives parked in the garage under the buildings... They tried to topple the WTC and failed. We didn't do **** and he decided to take 8 years off to form a better plan.

    Two planes hit Towers 1 and 2 sending them into a fiery inferno. 3000+ dead. I KNEW people in those buildings!!! I was supposed to BE in those buildings in September. My friends and coworkers DIED that day. GOD**** PIECE OF SH*T BUSH!!!

Why if Osama executed his plan and killed the largest number of civilians in a terror attack on US soil, did we "chase" him for such a short while and then give up? "Saddam is a threat. He provides safe harbor" SADDAM only wanted to opress IRAQI's!! Castro is the same, only crushing his own. Castro won't touch the US, neither would Saddam, but Ah..."There's oil in them thar hills." So be ready for Part 4 in 2009. >:-(

  • Chalky white paint. How can I clear this so I can repaint?

    I recently moved into a new house that is 3 years old. The walls in the living room are chalky and will leave a white dust on your hands or clothing if you touch them. How can I remedy this so I can repaint. I'd rather do it myself than hire a professional so I hope someone knows!!
