Okay so I've started writing an alien invasion story in which a small town is under siege by aliens. In my story the aliens come from a meteor shower it is frequently labeled an meteor shower by the government as they don't want people to panic about the possibility of aliens. In the town, strange rocks have landed since the shower but nobody knows. The same day the rocks land a local kid disappears, then reappears but strangely doesn't want to talk about his disappearance. Slowly townspeople start disappearing and household pets start to escape from their owners, dogs bark at night loudly at people. Then it is revealed that the people acting weirdly have actually had their bodies been taken over by alien hosts. This leaves only a small band of people to fight back, well my question is this. Firstly is this story interesting? Also, should the town be isolated/quarantined by military, state police or should they be able to respond and the aliens somehow sever communications. Oh yes and lastly my characters is 'I' the unamed narrator, the local sheriff, the deputy, a waitress, owner of the diner and the kid who disappears in the beginning.

Okay now here's the thing, I play GTA IV a lot on my XBOX and have beat all the missions so mostly when I play GTA now I just cruise about, I like driving by the rules by that I mean stopping at the red lights and driving at a respectful speed and overtaking people only when they drive slowly. But there's a problem with doing so, because every time I stop at a set of lights the guy in the car behind me honks then tries to get around me. The first few times I ignored that, then it became to anger me, slowly I started to experience road rage in GTAIV.

For example now whenever a car tries to go around me I block them and if they try again I honk them repeatedly then drive off when the lights turn green. Also on the bridges and highways, the AI drivers always seem to change lanes without signalling now this pisses me off. Like they change lanes and I have to swerve or slam on both my brake and pull the handbrake to prevent from a collision. So now I deal with the stupid AI drivers by getting out of my car and beating them up or hitting them with a baseball bat until their dead. I also give that treatment to whoever rams my car at a set of lights whilst trying to get around me. Also sometimes I get cut off by drivers and they speed off. So I tailgate them while honking then swerve around them and slam on the brakes then speed off.

My question is, does anyone else experience this while playing GTA too? Just curious, or is it just me.

Sometimes, my mind wonders what would be a good job for me. Ever since I was five I always loved the idea of being a cop, wearing the badge and flashing my credentials wherever I went and locking up bad guys. But of course, that is just a fantasy. Now as a student nearing high school I would like to know what would be a smart choice in my future career. I currently study at an international school have three languages, and am learning a fourth. Specifically I speak English, Chinese and Turkish I'm also learning some Japanese. I am more comfortable using English while writing but am more comfortable using Chinese while conversing. However my maths aren't very good (something to be worried about?) So I was wondering what could be a good job for me.

A couple of months back my girlfriend broke up with me because she 'thought' i loved her too much and she didn't love me as much. So I agreed and broke up, after this I was kind of sad most of the time and felt alone. Then after that I found this girl and we nearly hooked up after we chatted for nearly three days in a row but then I found out she already had a guy (but she wasn't to admit so). So I gave up, then recently I started having a crush on this other girl that had attended my school for a long time. Then for some reason she started hating me, and ignoring me and lying to me like I wanted to go to the movies with her with her friends at the end of the year instead she told a lie and I bought it she said she wasn't going, but later when I went out with my own friends I saw her there with her friends, after I saw her I was hit...hard. It hurt to see my crush hate me so bad.

Now, in my school I'm not really well known not with teachers or the students. Most of my friends are unpopular and I'm not exactly a nerd since I don't get straight A's, mostly B's and C's. Back in primary I used to be known as the guy who was kind of an inbetweener as I wasn't exactly fat, nor was I short, or fit, or strong. When I got into middle school I started working out and decided I wasn't going to stop until I had a six pack so because that now i do have abs. Anyway i'm known to talk, I like chatting and am known by my peers and friends to have a mild personality as I won't lash out at anyone. I'm not exactly tall either I'm 5'8, but am overshadowed by friends that are six feet tall. So that's about it, I wanted to ask if there was the possiblity about me getting a girlfriend again.

I haven't been writing stories in over year, because everytime I start writing something it just becomes a cliche. I enjoy writing thrillers and having the hero dodging bullets etc., but I just can't write well. Because I do not know how to describe certain things with detail but so it just sounds really flat when I write an action scene. So I gave up writing for a little over a year then a few days ago I started writing a story which I think is weird.

The story is about an unnamed main character who thinks his life is stuck in a loop and is imprisoned with his boring life, he hardly concentrates on anything he just 'does' things. He thinks everything is the same old thing replaying itself and that he has seen everything that life has to offer. He is then told to go to Silicon Valley for a presentation, after the presentation he goes back to the hotel and decides to jump out the window and 'end it all'. But an mysterious character 'Tom 'Timmy' Thompson turns up standing on the balcony next to him and tells him half heartedly not to jump while smoking a cigarette. The main character asks him lots of questions and finds out Tom is not 'really' there but is an image that his mind is making up. Tom claims to be his 'soul' and tells him that sometimes souls help the bodies they live in when they decide to do stupid things. Tom then disappears, seemingly after this life our main character starts to see life differently with his new friend Tom who weaves in and out.

This is as far as I've gotten, but I haven't written all of the above. So far I have five or so pages and I haven't introduced Tom yet, so it's just an outline of my story.

So here's the thing, I'm writing a new novel called 'Good Sheriff' I have posted a question about this novel before but deleted it. That's because I've changed the whole idea and plot of the novel. Before my novel was about this Sheriff that was supposed to save his town (Dover-Creek, Colorado) from terrorists. Now though I've decided that plot is too unbelievable and strange to be true. So I've decided to rewrite it. Now my main character is Sheriff Jack 'Jackie' Taylor, a mild mannered, polite Sheriff that lives with his mother Jane Taylor in a two storey house in their township. Jack has worked in the Denver Police Department before in the SWAT team as a team commander. But he's suffering from post traumatic stress disorder after he witnessed his partner get shot in a drug raid. After that he's decided to move on but his memories continue to haunt him. The police department in Dover-Creek is rugged, disorganized and that's why Jack immediately became elected as Sheriff after the last one retired. Jack is a man who never bothers anyone or pokes his nose into anything and is sometimes critisized for his personality for being too 'soft'. Now since i've finished introducing the good guy.

The Bad Guys are up next, but this is where I'm stuck. I've decided that in the first ten maybe twenty pages or so of the book would be normality. Life in this little town, the Sheriff does his job, arrests and throws a few hooligans in jail. The Sheriff later pulls over a speeder, everything seemed to be going well and the man was cooperative until Sheriff Taylor notices something in the car. He tells the calm man to step out of the vehicle and inspects the vehicle and finds a bag with an unlicensed pistol and a few hundred grams of cocaine. At the same time the man attacks the Sheriff and stabs him in the thigh, climbs in his car eager to get away. He fires two shots at the Sheriff and the Sheriff shoots six times in self defense killing the man. Now this is my problem, who should the bad guys. Any suggestions, any ideas are welcome to be shared.

Ever since Robert Ludlum legendary for writing the Bourne Identity passed away and Eric Van Lustbader took over with his 'idea' of Jason Bourne aka David Webb. Things have started going downhill, in the first book I read he immediately talked about terrorists in Russia then switched back to the USA and an assassin that travels across the world to kill Jason. And the author also kills off Morris Panov and Alexander Conklin in the first book as if he didn't want to waste time over those characters. And if you check book reviews you'll find out people don't appreciate Eric pretending to be Robert in these works. Does anyone think someone else should write another more 'to-the-roots-of-Bourne' series. Because Eric is killing Jason Bourne.

My friend is a korean guy who's been friends with me for a long time but recently I have noticed that he has been very mean towards others. Such as when I play basketball I shoot and I don't score he says.

"Man you're getting better, actually you're not." Then he laughs it off as if it's the funniest thing in the world. And he calls my other friends annoying and says you sucks when we try to play volleyball with him. Recently I have started to hang out with my other friends instead of him. Whenever I see him I just ignore him and walk the other way. And when he calls out my name in public every time just so everyone can notice him. Should I continue ignoring him?

(He has previously critisized me on soccer, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and every other sport I try.)

Last week or 10 or so days ago, the president of russia visited Palestine despite how Israel said not to. They still did and recognized the state of palestine. Israel seemed to have been not so happy over the visit, could this have led to a bombing like this as a warning. I mean think about it people who answer does anybody think this is possible? Opinons please!

I have to hand in 2 pgs of maths homework about that kind of stuff tomorrow. One of the examples are that if the formula A=0.5 a = b gives the area A of a trapezium when the height (h) and the length 2 parallel sides a and b are known find the area when

h=3 cm, a=8 cm b= 6 cm

I don't know how to understand it and one of my friends (a maths genius) refuses to help me claiming 'it's not THAT hard'. Please help explain what it equals to and why?

I love that movie so much, I practically memorized that movie by heart. All the lines, what the characters do, etc etc. I also watched Taken, though it was a good movie. In my heart I Thought Edge of Darkness was better, I got to like the actor Mel Gibson just by watching this one film. And believe me I know about the all the bad things said about him. But I still think he's a great actor. I just wanted to know who likes Edge of Darkness like I do?

My personal favorite is the .38 Detective Special, it might look blunt and stubborn with it's looks and stuff but I think it packs a punch. And I'm in Middle School, of course I'm not even old enough to 'touch' a firearm yet. People might consider that an federal offense (lol). Hiya, um everyone. I just wanted to ask something. IF you were reading a war novel, and you were maybe. A person that was new to this genre and you expected action. Would you want the action to start really quickly, or would you like the delay of the action 'Tom Clancy'. I'm only 12 and nearly 13 and I really want to FINISH a novel (I have a bad way of giving up on novels) and this time with my novel 'Resistance' I'm confident. So I just want to have the two questions I've asked thought of and hopefully answered. Thank you everyone!

By the way so you know what my plot is it's about a war between the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. With my main character being a native Kazakh and ancestors from Russia his name being 'Nikolai'. The resources and weaponry and morale is low in Kazakhstan during the coming invasion during the winters of Northern Asia. Nikolai is told to hold off the city of Almaty, Kazakhstan until reinforcements arrive. Nikolai is tasked with a 40 man group holding off against a few thousand eager Russians, that are led by a evil general and the general being told with direct orders from the president to take about what was of Russia. What will 'Nikolai' do? Surrender or take the last stand against one of the world's most powerful nations?

I love playing with toy cars, army men, marbles to act as figures, trucks, planes etc. etc. I play with video games frequently but i feel like i'm a child (I'm in Middle School) and I seem to want to get new toys and toy cars too. I like doing stuff like making the cars chase each other and pretend that the unmarked cars are actually FBI cruisers and stuff. I just need other people out there who sorta like playing with child-hood stuff once more.
