Yeah, Peyton and Brady have great stats, but are they playing the same game as past greats?
The NFL has been slowly hand-cuffing defense in an attempt to "entertain". If Bradshaw, Swan and Stallworth played under these rules, their stats would blow Peyton and Brady away. Marino, Duper and Clayton. Theisman and the smurfs. Warren Moon and the Run and Shoot. Montana, Young, and NAMETH...all these guys would have had similar if not superior numbers, so don't give me that all-time greats crap.
2 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoIs it time for a draft lottery in the NFL?
With the Colts and now the Texans throwing seasons to get the number one pick, I think it's time for a draft lottery in the NFL. ( I wish my Steelers would have thrown in the towel after their 0 and 4 start).
2 AnswersFootball (American)7 years agoWhat has Mike Tomlin brought to the table?
He got a lot of mileage out of Cower's team, but now those guys are getting old. As his players take over, it looks bleak for Steeler Nation. He does have an impressive media vocabulary, though. I think he's full of hot air and never will produce a winner of his own. Now that the Steelers need to rebuild, I hope they start with the coach. They've paid their politically correct dues, find a REAL coach.

1 AnswerCivic Participation8 years agoAre defensive shifts ruining baseball?
Where have all the .300 hitters gone? When teams played straight-away there were always at least a dozen .300 hitters in both leagues. Now every team has a couple of .230 hitters in their lineup. With the drop in average, power-hitting has become increasingly important, even if you only hit .230 you can crack the lineup, if you have some power.
5 AnswersBaseball8 years agoAre the Steelers too stupid to have a Plan B?
I can't remember the the last time the Steelers made an effective adjustment during a game. If the stuff they practiced all week doesn't work, they lose. Why can't they call plays that work like the Pats do? I don't know if it's stupid players or stupid coaches, but they certainly can't adapt like intelligent teams do. Been suffering for quite some time now. Tired of Steeler Stupidity. How "bout you?
3 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoIf our government gets involved in Syria, it's a slap in the public's face, agree?
Washington is supposed to represent the people. Hey Washington, we don't care about Syria! Both sides are anti-American, let them slug it out. Don't waste one Taxpayer dollar on it, cruise missiles cost a lot of money.
3 AnswersGovernment8 years agoDOES ANYONE REALLY WANT TO GET INVOLVED IN SYRIA?
I think we should get out of the "world police" business and mind our own, at least until we are on our feet again....helping foreigners while Americans are struggling is unacceptable.
1 AnswerOther - Africa & Middle East8 years agoMrs Welker getting grief for telling the truth? Does she deserve it?
The truth shall set you free....I feel the same way she does. Just because a player plays well doesn't change who he is or what he's done. I can't stand the way PC has replaced the real truth.
11 AnswersFootball (American)8 years agoFiscal cliff...a bad thing?
Wouldn't this force the government to "live within its means"? Maybe we would have to cut foreign aid instead of borrowing off of China and giving money away to other countries... boneheaded thinking. Maybe we'd have to quit policing the world to try to make 1000 "Little Americas"... let other countries sort out their own problems. Maybe the government would actually have to start putting Americans first, instead of just giving our plight lip-service... if an american worker owes the IRS 500 dollars they go after him with a vengeance, if another country owes us money we let them slide.
1 AnswerCurrent Events8 years agoDoes the election results mean......?
Americans are content to be dependents of the government and no longer even want to work? A nation of free-loaders...the end of our country is near.
1 AnswerGovernment9 years agoShould Canada should step up and take over Iran's oil customers, permanently?
Iran has declared economic war...the west should develop it's own oil and squeeze Iran and all A-rab countries out of the picture, what are they gonna do without oil income? One more thought...how about a food-producing cartel to counter OPEC?
3 AnswersCurrent Events9 years agoHow come we can help Sumatra and Japan, but not US citizens?
Its just too bad if you don't have flood insurance, or tornado insurance. We should just supply emergency relief to other countries and save rebuilding money for our own disasters. Do you agree?

The "beautiful people" seem to get a huge advantage.
6 AnswersReality Television1 decade agoHow come Clausen doesn't get more than one year to prove himself?
I am sure that even if Cam's stats are the same as Clausen's, he will get at least 3 years to prove himself... and if Clausen gives up his number, where will it stop? Newton will be taking his lunch money next.
4 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoDo you think Cam Newton can be as entertaining as Jamarcus?
I used to get quite a chuckle seeing Jamarcus' stats flashed on the rolling screen under the game. I am totally expecting Cam's to be just as amusing.
