  • Help clarify amp to speaker and tweeter wiring?

I plan on adding 4 6x9s and to the system in my truck (02 Silverado Ext. cab). I already have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3s running to an Orion 2 channel amp, Pioneer headunit, and pioneer door speakers, but I would like to add the 4 additional speakers, 2 6x9s in a box under the middle backseat and the same setup more or less under the front middle seat. My question is this... does anyone have a better idea on placement, size, etc.? I m pretty new to all this and I m trying to learn but I m so lost right now. I just want to know what I need to look for; do I need a 4 channel amp? 2? Will the headunit know what to tell the second amp? Could I replace the Orion amp with a 6 channel and only have the one? I just don t know all the impedances and formulas and what to look for to match these things. Anyone?

  • Transporting a rifle as a minor (Arkansas)?

I hunt, I often hunt alone. I d like to hunt somewhere that is not my property, as my property has been a bit dry as far deer activity the last couple years. Assuming the rifle is unloaded, seprate from ammunition, and in a locked case, is it unlawful for me to transport it to and from my hunting spot, assuming it s a "traditional" hunting rifle (if it matters).

I know I m gonna get the "contact your local authorities", but I d like to see what people on here have to say. I tried reading the gun laws, it doesn t say anything that would imply I can t since rifle laws are definitely more lax, maybe someone else has a better interpretation than mine.

  • LED Light Bar Vibration?

I installed a 52" curved LED light bar on the windshield of my Jeep (2000 Grand Cherokee) a couple days ago. When I got it up to 50 ish mph it made a horrible vibration that was shaking my mirror and I could even feel it in my seatbelt (seatbelt is bolted to the same pillar). PLEASE tell me someone has had this problem and fixed it?

Edit: I have changed hardware to beefier hardware and have moved it farther down the windshield to no avail. Any help??

  • WJ Jeep, Spacer Lift, No shocks?

I have a 2000 WJ Grand Cherokee, and have seen these lift kits, marketed as budget options, that consist of only coil spring spacers, with no shocks. Are these kits any good, from say a company like Supreme Suspensions? Or should I just buy the ones with the shocks?

  • Coil Spacers and Aftermarket Coils?

So I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee, with the solid front axle. I ve seen aftermarket coil and shock kits that lift it 2", but also coil spacers. Can I just run the aftermarket coils and the spacers, or would that create too much extra wear an tear? Should I just go ahead and buy a 4" kit instead?

    Thanks in advance.

  • New Toshiba update makes my computer slow??!!!?

So yesterday I was forced by Toshiba to install an update

Preceding this, it got extremely slow, by that is normal for it to do, so I just got the update.

But now, after the update, it it slow extremely slow it's like the Government healthcare website.

It freezes, loses internet connection, internet pages don't load, and nothing is really in sync like it always used to be.

Is there anything I can do to make my computer work again? Thanks.

  • .270 from 20" barrel?

I have the opportunity to acquire a Remington 700 ADL .270 from a good friend of mine. It is one with the iron sights on it, and the wood stock. One hitch however: he had the barrel cut to 20" long. So my question to you all is just how much velocity will it lose? And how much of a fire-breathing novelty has is become? Basically, how neutered will this .270 be?

It has a hardwood stock, blued barrel. It's truly in great condition.

    He wants $250 for it.

  • .270 from a short barrel?

I have the opportunity to acquire a Marlin XL7 in .270 Win. BUT, the only hitch is that it has a cut barrel (17"). I'm afraid it will sacrifice much of its energy and velocity and become a fire-breathing monster. So, I would like to know, how much am I right? What kind of velocity losses would it experience and how much of its energy would be lost? Obviously muzzle blast and report will increase.
