How are bonuses taxed?
We get free phones through our company every year. I need to know how these are taxed. I know that there is a different percentage for certain things. I can't figure out if this is a bonus tax or gift tax. We are in Washington State.
2 AnswersUnited States8 years agoCan my internet company turn off my internet for illegal downloading and charge a lot to rehook it up?
My internet got turned off because they said I downloaded something illegally. They now want to charge me close to 35 to re hook my internet back up. Is that allowed? I can't find any info on a law that says they can do that. If they can do that, and I refuse to pay the re hook up fee, and they are no longer providing service do I have to pay the regular monthly fee? I plan to drop this company when my contract ends on May 9th. Any help please. Oh and I didn't illegally download anything.

1 AnswerOther - Hardware1 decade agoGreater Seattle area... Where can I find information for music scholarships?
My daughter wants to take guitar lessons. I can't find anyone in our area who teaches at a resonable price. They all want 25 dollars or more just for half and hour of lessons. Is there a program in this area that gives out scholarships or grants for music lessons? Does anyone know where I can find more information? We are on the Eastside about 15 minutes East of Seattle.

I know that anyone is probably happy to just get a tip. But does it matter if it's cash or put on the bill when paying by credit card? I'm never sure. What would you like better? Is there a difference? I rarely carry cash and I usually put the tip on the credit card.
5 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoI have an Xbox 360. I like the game Tomb Raider. Are there any other games like this?

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoGuitar Lessons?
Why can't I find a decent rate for guitar lessons. People are charging rediculous amounts for lessons! As much as 50 dollars an hour! For guitar lessons! Nurses don't even make that much, school teachers. They are asking this for guitar lessons. I mean 27-50 dollars an hour is bit much. I asked, "who is teaching the lessons Bono?" Nope. Where can I find guitar lessons in Washington state? We are on the eastside. Issaquah/Sammamish area. Would be willing to travel into Redmond or East Bellevue.

My daughter, 8 years old, has recently been expressing great interest in learning to play the guitar. I do not play any instruments. I have no idea what to get. I checked them out and there were hundreds of different ones. What is best for a beginner? Is there a difference? Any recommendations on a specific brand? Thanks!
3 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoA question about sopapillas?
This is the recipe.
4 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons of shortening
1 1/2 cups of warm water
and oil for frying.
I cannot get them to puff up! This is driving me crazy! I've tried twice. I have the temperature at 375 degrees when I put them in. What am I doing wrong? How do I get them to puff up?! The recipe says to mix everything then to let stand for 20 minutes. I did that. When I came back the dough was still way to sticky. So I tried adding a little more of each of the dry ingrediants. I got the dough in a consistancy to be able to roll it out. It cooked but didn't puff up. Please...

2 AnswersSkin Conditions1 decade agoQuestion about Adobe video editing software?
I am looking for a video editing software from Adobe. Price isn't a concern. I am familiar with Adobe and I love photoshop, that is why I want to go with them. I need software that will allow me to edit home videos. But I also want a program that will let me put in special effects. Do I need to get two different software programs for this? I was looking at their website but was confused. On of the software programs talked about editing and getting the video off of the camcorder onto the PC. But said nothing about adding special effect and things like that. There was another one that does all the special effects. Do I need both? Which one or ones should I get?
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoWhat is this coin?
I found a coin. On the front it says:
Colorado rush to the rockies centennial 1859 1959
With a picture of a wagon being pulled by ox. There is also a cowboy. And what looks like an Indian artifact.
On the back:
Fort Morgan 75th Anniversary 1884 1959 Diamond Jubilee Good for 50 cents in trade at any cooperative business or redeemable at face value at any bank in Fort Morgan until noon Aug. 7 1959 Souvenir Money
I searched everywhere on the net. I can't find anything about this. Can anyone shed some light? Can it be worth anything?
3 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoHow can I further prevent pink eye?
My son was first diagnosed with it. Now my other two have it. We are doing the eye drops. We are doing the basic stuff, washing hands, no contact, anything that touches the eye is getting thrown away like tissues. I've washed all towels with bleach. I read that I should disinfect the countertops, door knobs etc. But should I also wash their pillow cases? Disinfect toys? Will that matter?

I've tried so many different recipies. When I cut out the shape then cook it, it expands so much that I can't even tell what shape it is. It just looks like a blob. I don't care what kind of cookie it is. I just need one that tastes good and won't lose shape. Thanks
