  • Why is web-based email crashing?

    My mum is using Windows 98 and IE to access her Yahoo Mail account. Over the last few months it has started to crash with increasing regularity every time she opens her mail account - using other websites works fine. This happened to her before, using Hotmail - so she switched to Yahoo, which was fine for about two years.

    Is this due to some sort of incompatability problem? Does she need to upgrade Windows? Will installing a new browser help?

    Any advice would be very much appreciated.
