I always wonder why cold symptoms have to begin with sore throat, followed by runny nose and finally cough. Why does the virus attack throat first and cause it to sore? Why at the end of recovering from the soreness of throat, runny nose manifests? And why on the verge of healing runny nose, cough comes? Why can't the 3 symptoms come together? I would appreciate if any specialist can enlighten me on this. Please don't tell me it's due to our body's natural response that it reacts this way. Many websites have said that but I believe there's a specific process in between the symptoms. I welcome technical details (if any) so long as it clears my doubt.
