Rash around 5-day-old tattoo?
I got my new tattoo done Tuesday, and I've had one other a few months ago that healed perfectly but it was only black ink and linework, and this one has some black, white, brown and green with shading. I'm prone to allergies and skin reactions, but usually the reactions are immediate, not five days out. It's very itchy and feels like eczema. It's only around the tattoo, not on it. Because it's Sunday I can't call my shop or a dermatologist. Should I use the steroid cream I usually use for eczema? Up until now I've been washing twice daily with dr. bronner's unscented all-natural soap, letting it dry for about half an hour and then putting on a thin layer of aquaphor, as my artist recommended.
3 AnswersTattoos6 years agoHow can I get my dog to stop barking in his crate?
He is 11 months old and I have had him for 8. We've been crate training him since day 1, and my older dog is also crate trained. He goes into his crate willingly and gets treats and praise for it. He gets crated while I'm home and when I leave. Leaving him out when I am gone is not an option, as he has chewed furniture and plays too rough with my other dog. I have NEVER let him out or paid him any attention while he is barking. I live in an apartment where my room backs up against my neighbors, and today when I left he cried loudly off and on for more than 3 hours, I taped it.
5 AnswersDogs7 years agoSick betta in a new filtered tank?
I got my new betta fish on Sunday, and introduced it to a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter, light, heater that I monitor with a thermometer, gravel for substrate, silk plants and a jug for hiding in. I used tap water with betta water conditioner. In the store, my betta seemed alert, flaring and acting aggressively towards fish when I placed his cup next to another cup, though his water was dirty. He seemed happy in his new tank, and I fed him pellets and freeze-dried blood worms. I never fed him more than four pellets a day, and only one blood worm a day. I don't have his light on for more than 8-10 hours a day. I've already done a small (maybe 15-20%?) water change, which I replaced with room temperature treated tap water. Today when I got home from class, he was on the bottom of the tank, and didn't come up for a blood worm treat. He seemed to struggle, and is gasping and breathing heavily through his gills, not coming up for air and struggling to swim around the bottom, sort of dragging himself through the gravel. It sounds like swim bladder disease, but I don't know what could have caused it. Any suggestions? I live in a dorm and don't have a car, so buying medication isn't going to be an easy solution. For now, I moved him to a bowl where he can more easily reach the surface and did a more substantial water change with distilled water, but he's moving even less.
