what happened to launchcast yahoo?
yesterday it seemed to work fine...I used Launchcast (http://music.yahoo.com/launchcast/) to listen to music. Played music with just a few interruptions and you could skip the song, etc. Now when I click on one of the genre's it goes to some random 'real/live' radio station (i.e. hip hop goes to some radio station in SF). what is going on and why do they change with out informing anyone???
1 AnswerYahoo Music9 years agowhat happened to thumbs down on YA?
Why did they change the rating system (for answers) on here? Now there are too many positive choices and no negative choice (i.e. 'thumbs down') if someone gives a crappy or irrelevant answer
3 AnswersYahoo Answers9 years agowhy are the gas prices in Portland area so high?
The average price here is ~$4.20 which is >50c/gal more than the national average. I'm used to PDX being a little higher but the rest of the country is dropping but we are going up. Anyone know why this is?
6 AnswersPortland9 years agoBracket for best female rapper - and the winner is...?
Lauryn Hill. That's right...you (YA) voted and Lauryn Hill has emerged as the best female rapper/hip hop artist of all time. She beat Missy handily in the finals (15-7). When I first posted this, I didn't pick her as the winner but hey...that's why you 'play the game'. Anyway, what do you guys think. Are you happy with your choice? Do you think anyone else (not on the original list of 16) could have beat her? I realize I forgot to include Dessa but we all make mistakes :-)
Original list of 16 is below:
Fergie
Nicki Minaj
Lil Kim
Foxy Brown
Lisa (Left Eye) Lopes
Salt-n-Pepa (counted as 1 )
Missy Elliot
Queen Latifah
Da Brat
Mc Lyte
Jean Grae
Amanda Black
Trina
Khia
Lauryn Hill
Eve
1 AnswerRap and Hip-Hop9 years agoBracket for best female rapper (of all time) - the final round?
(giving YA another chance to vote in the finals...If you already voted, no need to vote again)
This is the final round…let’s see who YA thinks is the best female rapper/hip hop artist of all time. The last two standing are:
Missy Elliot vs
Lauryn Hill
So go ahead and vote…they’re can only be one.

(For those who haven't seen yet, I am doing a bracket style poll to determine who [YA thinks] is the best female rapper/hip hop artist of all time. Detailed results of the last round are below. The winner (by # of votes) will be declared YA best female rapper/hip hop artist of all time.
Results from last round were not nearly as close as I thought they would be:
Missy Elliot said it might be Ladies Night but you’re not invited in cruising to a 13-6 victory over Lil Kim
Lauryn Hill said I’m killing you but not softly in her 14-5 crushing over legendary MC Lyte

1 AnswerDiet & Fitness9 years agoWhat should be the total cost for a 'new' starter?
(YA keeps cutting my details off so I am posting the question with additional details)
I have a 2003 Honda Accord (4 dr). Apparently it needs a new starter (as diagnosed by a friend, AAA, and a mechanic). They are REALLY expensive though. Apparently it's hard to get to in my Accord and the labor is ~$230. The new starter is ~$450. For any EXPERTS out there...does this seem appropriate for an '03 Accord? thanks...
I figured I would add more info. I called another (reputable) shop too. Both mechanics are saying on my vehicle the labor is a lot...you have to remove the intake manifold and some other stuff. My friend who originally thought it was the starter looked at it and said they starter was hard to get to (originally he said starters were easy until he looked under my car).
Mechanic 1 offered remanuf for <$600 and new for ~680
Mechanic 2 offered remanuf for ~$500 and new for ~680
They are comparable so i'm thinking it just might be expensive. So does anyone have specific experience with '03 (or similar) Accord? I am definitely NOT going to do this job myself.

3 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs9 years agoBracket for best female rapper - round 3 (final four)?
of all time...last chance to vote this round (I am posting this round one more time in case anyone missed it...if u voted this round already I have ur vote)
Ok, now we’re down to the final four…as I said previously this is the round I expect to be close. We’ve got some heavyweights here…each I’m sure has a strong fan base so let the trash talkin begin (For those who haven't seen yet, I am doing a bracket style poll to determine who [YA thinks] is the best female rapper/hip hop artist of all time. Detailed results of the last round are at the bottom. Remember...you need to pick ONE person from EACH pairing. The 2 winners (by # of votes) will move on to the championship round).
Despite someone (who shall rename nameless) trying to vote 3 times I have tallied the results fairly and here they are:
Lil Kim
Missy Elliot
Mc Lyte
Lauryn Hill
Results from last round:
Lil Kim finally squashes the beef with Nicki and shows why she is the queen bee (21-4) in the biggest blow-out this round
Missy squeezes by Salt-n-Pepa in the closest pairing this round (15-11)
Jean Grae shoes some fight for being such an underdog but gets beat handily by MC Lyte (18-6) and
Lauryn Hill crushes Trina (19-6)
