Is it better to pay off high interest accounts or low balance accounts first?
I have 5 accounts that i'm just trying to pay off completely. i had six, but one was down to $300, so i paid that off and added the amount that was paying on that card ($40/month) to my next lowest balance account which is around $640. so i'm now paying about $80/month on that one. then i figured when that was paid off, i'd add that $80 onto my next lowest account one (now $1100 paying $45/month). the thing i was just thinking, though, is that $1100 account has a higher interest rate and it seems like i'm just taking like $10 off my balance each month. should i just pay the minimum on the $640 account and use the extra to pay off the $1100 one first? my plan was that as each lower account got paid off, i would add the amount paying on that bill to the next lowest one for each monthly payment. but would it make more sense to pay off the high interest ones or the low balance ones first?
7 AnswersCredit1 decade agoDo people honestly believe that?
is Obama wasn't a citizen he would still be running for president? Why do people keep saying that he's not? I'm sure he would've been out of the race ages ago if that were the case. It seems so petty to bring that up at this point, yet people still are.
Furthermore, why do they keep saying he's Muslim when he's a Christian? And even if he was Muslim, does that mean he's not fit to be president? It's so judgmental of people! Why don't we stick to the real issues affecting our country such as the economy, education, the environment and health care?
2 AnswersElections1 decade agoObama/McCain do you think...?
a few questions...please answer all parts and keep bashing and smearing out of it. looking for unbiased answers and i don't care who you're voting for, just wonder a few things! thanks :)
do you think most people have already made up their mind on who to vote for?
have you made up your mind and how long have you known who you will vote for?
what would it take to make you change your mind?

1. economy
2. health care

4. public education

27 AnswersElections1 decade agoeducation level and political beliefs?
so here's what i'm wondering...
do you consider yourself conservative or liberal?
do you have a high school diploma? undergraduate degree? graduate degree?
do you feel that education makes a difference in whether people are conservative or liberal? why or why not?
it does not matter to me if you are conservative or liberal, you can be either and give an educated response. let's keep straight up biased remarks to a minimum.
16 AnswersPolitics1 decade agohas the election come down to voting for an african american or voting for a female? ?
do you think the voting has come down to voting for an african american male or voting for a female?
do you think people will vote for their principals or will they vote based on race and gender?
i'm just looking for opinions on this matter. i honestly don't care who you are for. so please keep to snide comments to yourself.
thanks.

2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agopregnancy test lines?
should the positive line on a pregnancy test get darker after a couple of days? if it's lighter, can that be a sing of miscarriage? i took an hpt on tuesday and it was positive and had a blood test that was positive on wednesday. but i was spotting so i'm taking a second blood test this week to make sure hormone levels are going up. i took another hpt today and it was really light. i'm only a few weeks pregnant. bur i'm really scared that the spotting meant miscarriage.
5 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoearly pregnancy question?
ok. so i'm only on cycle day 10 and i've been spotting yesterday and today. so on a whim i took a pregnancy test. well i got a BFP! YAY! i'm psyched. it's my second pregnancy. but here's the thing. i had no spotting with my daughter. plus i'm only on cycle day 10. my period was really light. so i'm going to call my doctor of course. but i'm just wondering what you might think. do you think i actually fell pregnant during my last cycle and just had a light period anyway? i'm so excited! but i'm also worried about the spotting. could the spotting be from having sex with DH?
thanks in advance.
4 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoSuccess with Pre-Seed?
How many people out there have tried Pre-Seed? Were you successful? How many months of trying after you started using Pre-Seed were you successful? I take allergy medication so i don't have much CM and wondered if this might help. I've already read about it on their site and early-pregnancy-tests.com, but i wanted to hear from some actual people, not people trying to sell the product!
Thanks!
5 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoAnyone have information on codependent parents?
Can anyone provide me with some information regarding parents who are codependent with their children? I can find stuff on children being codependent with their caregivers/parents. But this is the opposite. This mother is clearly codependent on her two young daughters, especially the 5 year old. The mother even cries when the daughter leaves and they will see each other in 48 hours! The mother crying is not good for the daughter! Any information on codependency on the parents part would be helpful. Thanks.
2 AnswersParenting1 decade agoCan you move out of the county?
If you have primary physical custody but joint custody on all of the decisions, can you move out of the county without notifying the court?
My husband's ex moved out of the county on a whim. She did this right after receiving papers for reviewing the custody order. She didn't notify the court. We live in PA. Is this legal?
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoMale victim of sexual abuse?
My husband was a victim of sexual abuse as a child. His ex is trying to use this against him when it comes to their children. When their first daughter was born, he expressed a fear that since he was abused, that he might become an abuser. He sought out therapy and found out that is a normal fear. Can anyone help me find research to help show that is a normal fear and that doesn't mean he will abuse his children? Especially since he's been through therapy.
4 AnswersMen's Health1 decade agoBlending family books?
i am getting married in june to a wonderful man who has two young girls (i have a 7 year old girl). i am very clear with my daughter and his that they have a mommy who will always be their mommy and a daddy who will always be their daddy. but that he and i will be their step mom/dad. my daughter really gets it. i really foster her relationship with her dad and she tells my future husband that he's the "second best dad" and things like that.
but his little girls are 2 and 4. they love me and i'm good with kids (i teach a state funded pre-k program). but this is all new to me and i don't think they understand it very well, being so young. and their mom tells them things like i'm just their dad's 'wife' and not their 'mom'. i know i'm not their mom! but i am their step mom and i will never try to 'steel' their love from their mom.
anyone know any good picture books i can read with the girls to help out? i want them to understand a blended family and it's ok to have a step mom. thanks!
2 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agocould this be a good sign?
my cycle is only 21-22 days. last period started the night of may 14/morning of may 15 which means my ovulation day would've been wednesday or thursday (from what i can tell). we had sex on monday night.
i know i have to wait awhile longer to take a home pregnancy test, but my question is this... i didn't really have any discharge over the past two days which would've been my ovulation days. could that be because when the egg was released that it may have been fertilized?
this is our first month having unprotected sex...we're getting married june 21 :) and so excited to ttc (it'll be baby #2 for me). i know we only had sex once, we're not really in a rush to concieve, but now my hopes are really high!
what do you guys think?
3 AnswersTrying to Conceive1 decade agoabout last night....?
ok...so here's the deal. my boyfriend and I are getting married on june 21. and we know we want to have a baby together (i already have one and he has 2...all girls under the age of 7. hahah). we were planning on getting pregnant in june or july, making me have a baby in march or april. this would be great timing because i'm a teacher and we figured that i could just take off the rest of the school year and summer. . . although i guess it doesn't much matter because i'm staying home with the baby until it's at least 3...anyway...
here's the thing. we kind of got caught up in the moment and had sex last night. it's not the first time, but it's the only time we haven't used some sort of protection. and i'm due to ovulate on may 4...this would make me have a baby at the end of january. . . .
do you think this is too soon? i went to the dr a couple of weeks ago to get a pap and got on some prenat vitamins, so that's good. do you think i could get pregnant? now i'm almost wishing i am...
