  • Going to San Francisco for a Conference and need to find a hotel located near 200 Folsom St?

Not familiar with the area, and I dont have $$$ to rent a car so it needs to be pretty close. I will be at a conference at UCSF Mission Bay... Anyone know of a good (affordable) hotel?

  • Budget laptop... will it work for after effects cs4?

At work I use a Dell D530 running at 2.00GHZ but i believe its core 2 duo with 1.99GB RAM and 111GB HD.

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite L505-S5966 (running at 2.00GHZ 3GB RAM and 320GB HD) I needed something with more memory and HD space for my Blender 3d projects as well as my after effects project. I havent opened the box yet because im not sure if this laptop will work any better than the D530. though the toshiba has more everything than the Dell i'm not sure if im going to end up with the same sappy performance due to the difference in 2.00 GHZ in Core2Duo vs 2.00GHZ in "Dual Core".

Do you think it will do what I want? I had about $600.00 and I got the toshiba because for the price it had the best specs.

What is your opinion on this matter?

By The Way: I am a web developer and software programmer, but I use After effects to give more life to my buttons and animations in flash none of the animations run for more than 5 minutes at the most (if that).

Any advice, or opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!!

    Thanks!

  • Data from one application into another application?

at work we have a database driven application (possibly a foxpro or SQL app) we collect customer data there. For reporting purposes we created a transportation log in MS Access. We need to populate the Member ID field from our main app into the Access db. someone said I could do OLE DB. Would I be able to have OTM and MTM relationships if the field is from an externally linked database?
