  • Why do students worry about getting into college than staying in it?

    I dunno. I'm an upcoming freshmen in college and I just heard news that one of my friends, a college freshmen at UCLA, just committed suicide this week. Our friend was a model student, straight As, outgoing, beautiful, and we are puzzled as to why she really did it (I received a message from her that she really was fussing over a pre-med quiz and got 0/15 for it). And nowadays, I've heard so many stresses on going into SATs, APs, and extracurricular activities just to get in. Almost all these education ads are all focused on this. But there is nothing on staying and prospering in college.
