Tie Dying a sheet for the living room, what are some bright colors that mesh well?
Hi. I'm tie dying a sheet to hang on my ceiling, a foot below a ceiling light in my living room. I saw it at a friend's house and the bright colors really brought out the colors of the room and dimmed the light enough to feel comfortable.
I've been reading about fiber reactive dyes and I'd like to buy some, but I'm not sure which colors will work well. I was thinking of keeping the background of the sheet white and using a spiral pattern with red, green, and blue procium mx dyes.
I wanted some input on it before I messed up. What do you guys think would be best for the living room considering the colors and the pattern?

How do I remove or hide that little popup message? It's very annoying and hard to do my work when it's constantly covering up text.
Thank you,

1 AnswerSoftware1 decade agoHow do I get a personal loan for $2000?
I need a total of $2440, $1240 for court and $1200 more for my lawyer (who I'm paying $300 every 15th of the month).
My court fine is due the day I have court and my lawyer moved my court date to late June. I want to be able to pay the fine, and I can, but in installments. I can't just pay $1240 all at once because Im in school and don't have a job yet except for tutoring to pay those monthly lawyer payments.
I have a HP laptop pavilion and a gateway 504gr, but nothing else of value that I can use for collateral. Is there anyway I can get a personal loan for $2000 to pay off this debt and then slowly pay the bank back each month with interest? If it's not possible to get $2000, I'd settle for $1000 or $500. Is it possible, if so, how??
Please answer this as this is a very important question.
2 AnswersPersonal Finance1 decade agoCan someone critique my resume?
Hi. I'm going to school for a degree in electrical engineering and trying to find an internship but my resume isn't getting any bites. Is there anything I should change, reword, or add to it?
One thing that I haven't added is that I've had 5 years of experience in programming. I left it out because it was in a programming language that not too many people have heard about but I did make very intricate programs involving parsing, fixing bugs, and innovative utilities to help solve common problems in computing. It wasn't for a company, it was just a hobby that grew from a small game cheating community.
But any suggestions would help me.
Thanks,
Ronak

2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoWhat should I buy and modify to resell to make a profit?
Hi. I'm a college students, recently got into trouble, and in about $3000 debt to a lawyer and future fines. I don't have that money so I'm tutoring and going to school on weekdays and spending my weekends as an entertainer for children's parties. I'm not making money fast enough and I'd like to try spending some money to make more money.
Im wondering if there is a market to buy something, modify it, and then resell it for a profit. I was thinking tie dye t shirts, or any kind of t shirts, or something. I'm hoping that someone could just throw suggestions my way or have any anecdotal advice on making profit on ebay. I understand there are many how-to guides but I've heard many of them are fake and not worth the money.
Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated as I'm willing to use up my last $115 bucks to profit from to buy back my freedom. If you have a suggestion that exceeds that amount, that's fine, throw it my way anyway.
Thank you so much. :)

4 AnswersEngineering1 decade agoHow much of Zn is needed for all of the Cu to precipitate out in this balanced equation?
Zn (s) + CuSO4 (aq) → ZnSO4 (aq) + Cu (s)
What mass of Zn must be added to exactly precipitate out all the copper metal in 25.0 mL of 0.500 M copper sulfate solution?
I do not understand how to even start this problem. If anyone could help me through this problem with the steps that would be perfect. And if anyone could find some similar practice problems w/ solutions on the internet, that would be even better.
Thank you!
1 AnswerChemistry1 decade agoMinimizing cost problem using derivatives?
A square box has a volume of 20 cubic feet. Its sides cost $2 per square foot and its top and bottom cost $1 per square foot. What are the dimensions of the box that will minimize its cost?
I had this problem on a calculus test about an hour ago. This is what I did.
Volume = Length*Length*Height
20 = L^2*H
H = 20/(L^2)
Cost = $2(4LH) + $1(2L^2)
Cost = 8LH + 2L^2
Cost = 8L(20/L^2) + 2L^2
Cost = 160/L + 2L^2
Cost derivative relative to L:
Cost' = -160/L^2 + 4L
0 = -160/L^2 + 4L
4L = 160/L^2
4L^3 = 160
L^3 = 40
Length = 40^(1/3)
H = 20/(L^2)
H = 20/((40^(1/3))^2)
Height = 20/((800)^(1/3))
Are those dimensions correct or did I make a mistake? If I made a mistake, where??? Thank you.
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoRectangle inscribed in a cos curve?
A rectangle is to be inscribed under the arch of the curve y = 4cos(0.5x) from x = -pi to x = pi. What are the dimensions of the rectangle with the largest area, and what is the largest area?
So far I have this.
Length = 2x
Height = 4cos(0.5x)
Area = Length * Height
A = 2x(4cos(0.5x))
A = 8xcos(0.5x)
Find da/dt or A'
A' = 8cos(0.5x) + 8x(0.5)(-sin(0.5x))
A' = 8cos(0.5x) - 4xsin(0.5x)
Solve for A' = 0, find x
0 = 8cos(0.5x) - 4xsin(0.5x)
4xsin(0.5x) = 8cos(0.5x)
xsin(0.5x) = 2cos(0.5x)
x = (2cos(0.5x))/(sin(0.5x))
x = 2 invTan(0.5x)
How do I solve for x?

5 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoIs this implicit differentiation correct?
Problem find the second derivative of the following equation at (0, -1)
xy + y^2 = 1
xy' + 1y + 2yy' = 0
y'( x + 2y ) = -y
y' = ( -y ) / ( x + 2y )
Now for the second derivative:
y'' = ( ( -y' )(x + 2y) - ( -y )( 1 + 2y ) ) / ( ( x + 2y)^2 )
y'' = ( -y'x - 2yy' + y + 2yy' ) / ( (x + 2y) ^2 )
y'' = (y - y'x) / (x + 2y)
x = 0 and y = -1
y''(0) = ( -1 - y'(0)(0) ) / ( 0 + 2(-1) )^2
y''(0) = -1 / ( -2 )^2
y''(0) = -1/4
Is that correct?
2 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoCalculus problems involving derivatives and differentiation?
1. Is there a value of b that will make the following continuous at x = 0? Differentiable at x = 0? Give reasons for your answers.
g(x) = x + b (x < 0)
cos(x) ( x >= 0)
2. Find the derivative of the following functions.
y = x(x^2 + 1)^(1/2)
y = ( x^3 )( e^(-2x) )( cos(5x) )
y = f( g(x) )
y = g( f(x) )
Thank you.
