It has come to my dismay that my website, http://thescarletlettermadeeasy.webs.com/ , previously uploaded simply to help a few of my friends out with learning, understanding and interpreting "The Scarlet Letter".

More or less, some background images will not load on Webs.com. I'd like to know A) Why and B) how to fix it. The images ARE in my folder, I think it's a problem with my Style Sheet. I may be wrong, it may be my HTML, or it may even be another issue. I'm looking to resolve this conflict, but an alternative solution would be nice, too! how could I replace the background with Black Color instead of an image?

I've uploaded to other hosting sites and it works perfectly (however the sites, probably due to underfunding, don't...) If you could, I would love for alternatives to hosting other than Webs.com! I need to upload my own HTML documents and my own Style Sheet (This is the tricky part). Most sites do not allow this, they prefer you use THEIR WYSIWYG... I don't like this. Any solutions would be great!

All the links to the Images can be hotlinked if you need to see them (And yes, they're in the right folders and are uploaded, see for yourself). If you could help me with this issue, that'd be great. Also any alternatives in hosting (That I can upload HTML docs to)? What about quick fixes to get this up and running? My friends need help quickly, and this isn't cutting it. It would also be great if there was a site that could upload 500 MB or so? I need to upload quite a bit of content. Thanks in advance. And I appreciate all of your answers. I need to demonstrate my ability to answer questions which isn't a problem, however, I am having trouble Picking questions to answer. I need 3 very Creative, Controversial, and Provocative questions that Both have a Definite answer and are a topic of discussion. Some examples given to be are:

But wanting to go apart from the examples given, I want to come up with three questions that would Pop when first read by any audience. Questions that are mainly Bold but more importantly, can be answered properly. So, If anyone could help, it'd be Greatly appreciated. You can give more than 3 possible questions, I just need to brainstorm with ideas.

Okay. So as of recently i own a new Laptop but sadly it's a Sony laptop. It's a Vaio model with intel centrino and windows vista home premium preinstalled. It came with 2 gigs of ram and works fine. The only problem seems to be whenever I need to listen to anything. Whenever it starts up, it works properly and I can clearly hear the startup sound so I know the speakers aren't damaged. But whenever i try to listen to any audio through Windows Player or through the Internet such as say YouTube or even my own iTunes, it won't work. I hear NO audio and my speakers show to be unmuted and on full blast but it won't pick up the audio. I think this may be a problem with either one of the services not being started on startup? Or maybe a startup program that needs to be activated upon startup because of Sony Made Computers' notorious need for all of it's Sony-based software. But I can't be sure. I've tried turning on all of the startup programs and services with no success. Is there any specific program that needs to be running? I had this problem earlier and fixed it simply by rebooting the computer but this "quick fix" is no longer working. I have a 32-Bit Operation System and it seems to work fine other than no audio being played. I'm not sure what the problem is and If anyone knows of a sure fire solution without reformat. It would be greatly appreciated. I recently installed Advanced System Care Pro and Tune Up Utilities 2009. I don't know if this may be the cause of the problem but any input would be helpful... I am building from the ground up the ultimate PC with everything and anything that may be needed or called upon because I am definitely a computer freak and need the best processing power and RAM available to compute and do really what i need. With Price set aside i've decided on just about everything from the brand to the model of component and i've made no stops or second bests when it comes to this new PC i'm building. Liquid Cooling system, Maxed Out RAM, Intel i7 Extreme Edition processor. the Works basically, but one of the few things that i've been stuck against in finding is the best Video Card. I haven't yet decided upon the Mother Board i want but of course it needs to be compatible with my video card and what not but after searching a bit among video cards i've found a few options and to be completely honest I Don't know Much when it comes to video cards and that's where I need help... I have already planned for the monitor to be replaced with a 40in LG 2X HDMI HDTV 1080p wide screen television and what not. Therefore i want to get the absolute most out of the TV i already have and want the ultimate in video processing. Not only for multimedia, video editting, game play, and online video gaming, but also for movies, media and what not. I've found a few video cards and need help picking among them my first option is an XFX FeForce 8800 GTX video card with a mear 768 MB of memory and i planned on getting an extra large case to accomidate it along with a second one of the same type. Or an EVGA GeForce GTX 295 CO-OP Hydro Copper video Card housing 1792 MB of memory. This card while having more memory does take up less space and requires a smaller power supply but according to reviews the XFX model seems to be the favorite and for about a hundred or so dollars more brand new. I definitly need help finding the best Video Card availbe and pretending that price is not an object could someone please shed some light on the pros and cons of different video cards and what would pull out as the Best for not only Gaming but everyday use? Whether it be the XFX GeForce 8800GTX or the EVGA GeForce GTX 295. If you know of any other video card that is better please let me know and please provide a link to where i can purchase it and also about it's stats and what-not. Any other information about what you would reccommend for "The Dream Computer" would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for everything.

My flash drives or more commonly known as jump drives won't work on my computer. Now I'm most certain that it's my computer's problem not my actual Flash Drive. I know this because it works just fine when I plug it into any computer at my school but not at my home computer. I've tried two various flash drives neither work but the computer does recognize them as being there. This is a recent problem and the Flash Drives WERE working just fine. Usually the way it would work is I'd insert the Flash Drive with is a small device that, when plugged into a USB port it acts as a separate drive that can hold information. I'd normally just insert the Flash Drive and then go to Start then My Computer and then I could see my C:/ Drive my D:/ Drive which is my back up drive and finally my E:/ Drive which is my CD/DVD drive. Now whenever my Flash Drive was plugged in I'd normally see a new drive in this section called the F:/ Drive and it'd usually either be called "Lexar" or something else because that was just the brand of Flash Drive it was but now whenever I plug it in the computer recognizes that there's something plugged in but all that happens is that a new little icon appears in what I think is called the "Task Bar" just left to the clock in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. It makes a ping and the new icon is a "Safely Remove Hardware" one. It's not recognizing it anymore and I need help on getting those precious files on that Flash Drive onto my computer and more files on my computer onto that Flash Drive. Please help. I don't have any clue on what I should do and any help at all would be very helpful please please please if you have any idea please leave a comment and as much detail as you can on the subject and I'd like to just know what is happening and how I can fix this. If it does help my computer was recently reformatted but this wasn't a problem until a few weeks after the reformat. I have a Windows XP Compaq Computer. It was designed for XP but Vista Compatible and was bought around the year 2006. It has just under 500 MB's a Ram. Roughly a 200GB hard drive and currently has a Vista Theme installed making it look as if it were Vista Made. (This is only a theme with Skins. It's not actually Vista it's XP only a Vista Look Alike). It has two USB ports in the front and two in the back if this helps in discovering the actual computer Model and such. Well I really hope that someone can help me please feel free to respond and I'd appreciate the help that I can get from any of you. Thanks again. And please be serious.

I usually don't have any trouble with computers but I recently purchased a very cheap Dell. It was VERY cheap and I was going to use it for scrap parts but I was surprised when I tried to turn it on. It went to an old DELL screen and then to a black screen that says "Invalid system disk Replace the disk, and then press any key." Does anyone know what this might mean? I'd like to fix it but I'm not sure what to do or how to do it. Once I press a key it says the same thing again right below it. It's a simple Windows 98 and has a monitor and a CPU. I think It'll work fine except for that one thing. It has both a floppy, CD and DVD drive. Could anyone give me an idea on what this might be? Try to shed some light on what's happening and how I might be able to fix it. Could I run a reformat? If yes, how? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
