  • How can college football be fixed?

Even the most die-hard BCS supporters agree that the system is flawed and rarely picks the true, deserving champion. In fact, it seems it should stand for Big Controversy System instead of being the acronym of a lie. I, just one of many, would love to see a complete playoff system in college football, but I can accept the fact that it will never happen. The bowl games bring in way, WAY too much money for the big-pocketed BCS greed monkeys to give it up. But, buried deep in all the controversy of Playoff v. BCS, is there not a compromise?

All I seem to hear are arguments, sprinkled with few legitimate ideas for a fix. So I want to hear what your ideas are to try to fix the obvious problem that has never been more evident than this year. If you think it is fine say so, or if you think a complete playoff system is the only fix, say so. I know what we say doesn't change or affect anything, I just want to hear some ideas.

  • How do you get the stout fish taste out of catfish?

I cook fish often, but it seems that catfish is a more difficult fish than others to develop a predictable taste with (mainly grilled). Sometimes it has a great taste, then other times, there is a very harsh "fishy" flavor that overwhelms the spices and seasonings. I've heard of soaking the fish in hot sauce, but I don't know the specifics of how to do that. Any help is appreciated.

  • Does Jr. want his dad's fans?

When thinking about this whole Jr going to Hendrick mess, and maybe I'm reading too much into it, but do you think there might be a deeper meaning to all of this? What I mean is, we all know that when Dale Sr. died (rest in peace), most, if not all, of his fans immigrated into Jr.'s fan base making it mostly what it is today. I don't know of many people that will dispute that. We also know that Jr. doesn't want his dad's legacy. He wants to make is own name and become a legend his own way, not ride his dad's coattail on the way to becoming a legend. So all of this got me thinking...with everything Jr. has done of late, do you think he might be trying to rid his fan base of his dad's fans?? He is doing an awful lot that the Sr fans are going absolutely nuts about while the fans that have always been just Jr. fans are, for the most part, ok with. From leaving his dad's team to go to be teammates with a driver (Gordon) that the Sr fans absolutely despise for breathing, to leaving Coke...

  • Why does NASCAR want races to be won by gas mileage or pit strategy?

Doesn't it seem that NASCAR would rather a driver win based on his pit strategy rather than his racing ability? They must because the keep tampering with and reducing the size of the fuel cells to disrupt a regular racing pattern. In the past, the drivers would go out and prove who was the best by racing, with a little strategy here and there. Now, they go and race a little, with strategy being the determining factor of who wins. It is happening more and more. Is that what NASCAR wants? Strategy over skill? Your thoughts and opinions.

  • Can someone give me a good rib BBQ sauce recipe?

Or somewhere where I can find one?

I've tried different things but nothing ever comes out right. It's always too sweet and spicy, or too tangy and not spicy at all. I would like something that is simple, but delicious. I'd like a mopping and regular BBQ sauce if at all possible. Thanks.

  • How would Gordon be treated?

Ok, so it seems like almost everyone that is a Gordon or Johnson fan is welcoming Jr. to HMS with open arms. So, what if the tables were turned and say, Gordon was looking to sign at DEI with Jr.? How would the Jr. fans treat Gordon? With open arms? Or with a finger? (Keep in mind that you are reflecting upon the fan-base with your answer.)

I usually hate "what if" questions with a passion, but this one keeps bothering me. So if you don't want to answer that's fine. But I had to ask. So how would Gordon be welcomed at DEI, if the tables were turned? Or would he be welcomed at all?

  • Animosity?

Now that it is FINALLY official, are there any changes in feelings of ANY Jr. fans toward Gordon and Johnson? Will you feel any obligation to, dare we say, like them? (If not to that extreme, any obligation to hate them less?) Or will you feel even more animosity toward them now that Jr., Johnson, and Gordon will all be sharing an owner?

(Try to be respectful of others in your answers. Please refrain from "gayboy" remarks.)

  • What do you think?

I was wondering what many of you think the fan base percentages per driver are. For instance here is my guess:

    65-70%= Earnhardt

    10-15%= Gordon

    20%=Other

I apologize for grouping all you other fans in the "other" category, but Gordon and Earnhardt are the two most popular with the most fans in their fan base. You can break it down futher if you like, but try to be reasonable please. I'm not trying to start a war, I just want to know what everyone thinks. We all support our drivers, so how many do you think support your driver with you? Have a good day.

  • How would we truly feel?

I've heard a few people, both in this forum and outside of it, claim they feel that Kurt Busch should be completely kicked out of NASCAR for his stunt Monday. While I know we don't know what penalties NASCAR will impose on Busch, what if it were an expulsion from NASCAR entirely? Would there truly be no love lost among NASCAR fans? (except the members of his few and far between fan base). Just curious as to what you on this forum feel your reactions might be if this is in fact the case.

Now to avoid misinterpretation, I'm not saying this will happen, because I don't know what will happen. I just want to know what everyone thinks. I will delay my thoughts until I choose the answer I feel agrees with my view the most.

  • Who will be the first team to step up and end the Hendrick domination? And who will be the driver to do it?

I'm a Gordon fan, and therefore I'm obligated to be a Hendrick fan and I'm enjoying the success right now. However, I'm also a realist and I realize that the success will not last forever. I know everyone (who is not a HMS fan) is tired of hearing about the domination, so who do think will step up and end it first?..or at least slow it down?

Please...no conspiracy theorists. I know NASCAR seems a little conspicuous at times with cautions and thier timing but we all must realize, as intelligent human beings, that there is no "rigging" in NASCAR. They wouldn't "rig" it for someone, whom 90% of all NASCAR fans hate, to win. He's just talented and caught breaks so far this year.

Well, David B., I know it's probably not the intelligent question your looking for, but it beats the "where will Jr end up?" or "who do you like/hate the most?" that fill up the screen. Give me credit, I tried.....

  • What's J. P. Montoya's problem?

What's the deal with this guy? He wrecks himself only when he isn't wrecking someone else. Ok...little bit of an exaggeration but sometimes it seems that way. Take the move in FIRST LAP of the Nextel Open for example...what the heck was he trying to do? I know he's new and new guys do stupid things, but at least most of them try to learn from their stupid moves...but not Juan. I've seen drivers grow from wreckless morons to clean competetors, but Juan doesn't seem to want to do that. When asked about his driving style he said basically, "That's just the way it's going to be. Everyone else is just going to have to get over it." (saw it on ESPN). I know I'm not the only one fed up with this guy and this is just your chance to rant on him a little if you want.

Only two of his original crew are left now. Is that a good thing for him?

  • Who thinks Cup drivers shouldn't race in the Busch series?

I love the fact that Cup drivers feel the need to race in other organizations, but to me the Busch Series should be for up-and-coming drivers and allow them to show what they can do. It's hard to do that against drivers that have already made it professionally. Just look at the leaderboard and top 10 of Busch every race, not many drivers that drive soley Busch are in it. I know there are already a lot of drivers competing for the 43 Cup starting positions, but isn't that what it's all about? I also feel it gives the Cup drivers that can afford to race both series a bit of an advantage. Just want to see who agrees and looking for some valid points supporting Cup drivers racing the Busch Series. Thanks.
