i actually really prefer the trek 7.2fx (because of its look), but the bike dealer said if you compare the 2 bikes the diamondback century is a much better bike because of the parts!! something about using metal and not plastic like the trek....i feel like if i buy the trek, i'm buying it because of the look...

p.p.s. how do i get myself be comfortable riding the bike on the street. its nerve racking because of horrible drivers and since i'm a novice. last but not least, where do i go to find bike paths or routes?

it's going to be my first bicycle and i can't decide which one of the two i should get. i was hoping a bicycle expert would be able to tell which one is more comfortable, durable, safe, fast etc...
