I'm an amateur composer and I see that most songwriters have a company that owns the copyright to their work. Is there an advantage to corporate ownership over personal?

Can a Michigan employer legally hold your last check until you turn in uniforms, etc? Please cite your source.

Most of the presidential candidates are sitting senators, and they all seem to have big plans, but it seems like they are waiting to be elected President to implement them. If change is so important, why put it off? Many people will blame the current President for not going along, but the Congress makes the laws, not the President. One thinks it would be easier to build a majority within the body than outside it.

I suppose that a presidential election could be seen as a "mandate" for change, but I may just be pessimistic in thinking that nothing will happen and all of the blame will be put on those in the Congress after the next election. I agree that it's time for a change in the climate in DC, but the next President will also be elected with 468 Congressmen and Senators who will have to agree that the attitudes need to change.
