  • Is "not" giving me my commission report legal?

I work in Connecticut. I work a commission draw pay plan. I have worked for several years for a company and have I received but two detailed, comprehensive commission reports that explain what I was paid on each sale, what the percentage was, and what was taken away from me if a customer canceled or returned their product. When I press the point I get exasperated sighs....but no report. Is this legal?

  • Bird owners and rescuers do you ever wonder how right it is to keep birds in a cage?

I own three birds I adore. I rescued them, I give everything I am able to them, yet I feel at times that no bird should ever be in a cage and I cry. My Sky (an african gray) exhibited mating behavior tonight. She is a flock animal, she was meant to choose a mate and fly free, to build a nest and raise young ones. Yet to breed any of my birds I feel I am only adding to the ugly propagation of birds in cages. I know that her alternative in the real world would be death. But watching her through each season of mating, and the hopelessness I feel makes me so sad. She loves me but her frustration through this time makes her unpredictable. The bites to the point of drawing blood are my least concern. The question in my heart is it right to keep any of these amazing creatures in a cage, no matter how good your intentions are?

  • BP oil spill and Misconceptions?

Are we as Americans being held in the dark? In reading European news....greenpeace pages....and speaking to my father who was a welder on the Alaskan pipeline....reading scientific data on every page I can get my hands on....I am feeling like we are being blocked out of what is really happening. I have run into news articles that are no longer available...I have run into redirects on searches. The news in my town does not show the tragidy that is happening. What I hear mostly is BP's service anouncments. Am I crazy or are there many things that are not being said or addressed. Like the chemical compounds of Corexit.....Like toulene....a brain liquifier in the 70's(glue sniffing). The parts per million that would allow this chemical to be held in rains. Am I just being paranoid...or am I just worried about one of the many hundreds of scenarios that may change everything we know about the world today.

  • I have some questions about lyme disease.?

I have heard a lot about lyme disease lately as I have recently been suffering from a huge amount of joint pain. I have also experienced weird curling of the muscles in my feet and my left hand. I am also experiencing burning in my muscles of my arms, neck and legs. I have been told that most Dr. won't test for lyme and insurances won't cover most of the treatments for this disease. Where do I even begin to find out what is going on with me if I suspect lyme disease? I live in Connecticut where this disease prevalent.

  • Who can I contact in Connecticut about an injured wild goose?

A pair of Canadian geese showed up in my parking lot at work. The male died, the female who is very small and blind in one eye built a nest and has laid about four eggs. She has no access to food or water. Nor a male to relieve her so she could go eat. We have been feeding her for about five days....with greens, cracked corn and Zupreen avian pellets, and plenty of water. I would like to contact a wildlife refuge that does rescue to help where we can't.

  • Rarely do you hear of a bird food recall? Why is this?

Much of what is used in animal food, grains, by products are used in all critter and bird food feed. I know there is garbage in some bird foods, and bags of food I have purchased only to find later they were contaminated by sight. Why is there so little control on bird food?

  • The H1N1 seems to be a big deal.?

Where is this coming from? Regular flu kills thousands every year. It seems that H1N1 has been given a totally separate rating. Is it just hype or a way for the president to call out a national emergency? National emergency calls on a whole new set of rules. Since the patriot act.

  • Mason my GSD. Questions about his tumors.?

I am told in order to have a biopsy done it will cost me $300 to $800. Is this realistic? I have asked another question and this pertains to it also. We know it is a tumor, it is not fatty tissue. This the vet has tested. Is there not a way to test this tissue to know if it is cancer or not? It is about money. It is about quality of life for my dog. It is about being out of work for a year for my hubby. It is about myself being diagnosed with an aortic aneurysm. We are not making decisions lightly. Mason and I both got bad news this week and I am torn. Any other time in life this would be an easy decision, today it is not. His tumors. One slow, one fast growing. Problems with his prostate, sometimes blood in his urine. Yes taken to the vet and treated for that. I need knowledge...I would release him to a rescue to save his life, but he has biten, I turned him in myself and although his charges were judged correct in action no live rescue will take him.

  • Tumors around the tail of my GSD? Vets, Please. Or those who have been through this.?

My Mason is 8 years old, not a gray hair on his body, has one fast one slow growing tumor around the base of his tail. Yes he has been to the vet, they are not fatty tumors. No he is not neutered. I would like to know of similar situations of male dogs and what you did. Or if by a vet, what are some of the pros and cons of surgery on this sort of thing. My brain tells me there is much more to these tumors than meets the eye. The area, the fact he is not neutered, and some prostate problems that tend to recur. This animal is the love of our lives, but hubby has been out of work for a year. We need some honest and knowledgeable information. Cost, prognosis, and quality of life. These questions I am also putting to my vet.
