  • Can a car dealer charge a $500 fee for locating and bringing a new vehicle?

I live in Canada and I recently went to two dealerships(Toyota and Mazda) to negotiate a deal. Both dealerships asked to pay $500 upon signing a contract for locating and bringing the model/color I chose from elsewhere. This is on top of Freight & Delivery. Is this a legitimate fee?

  • Moist condensation in my 2000 Chevy Impala. Why??

I get a lot of moist condensation (fog) inside my car if I park my car outside. Insde all the windows and even inside the trunk. It looks like someone sprayed water all over. If I wipe off with a towel, the towel gets all soggy. This happens everyday, even if I just park my car outside for 30 minutes. What's wrong with my car??

  • A/C button when turning heater on in my car?

    I have 2000 Chevy Impala.

I noticed that A/C button can be pressed on or off when the heater is on.

Some say A/C button should be pressed off when heater is on, and some say pressing it on makes the heater work better.

    What is true?

Should I press it on of off when using the heater?

  • How to avoid paying too much repair cost for my old car?

I drive 2000 Chevy Impala, which has several minor problems. I want to take it to a Chevy dealer for a check-up and fix somewhat major problems only. The thing is the car is only worth a few grand, so I don't want to end up spending more than the value of the car to fix it. After all, I'm only going to drive it for a few more years.

How can I avoid unnecessary repairs and reduce repair cost?

How do they keep track of who is holding how many shares?

Do they pay cash or send cheques or make a deposit into your account?

    Please explain in details.

  • Charged the overlimit fee for going over by $1.07. Can I dispute that?

I was charged the overlimit fee of $20 for going over my credit limit by $1.07. I thought I was in the limit, then the interest charge made it go over by $1.07. Should I call and dispute?

  • Aren't movie rental businesses illegal?

I thought renting video/DVD for a profit was illegal at some point. Do businesses need some kinda of permit or agreement to be able to rent movies for a profit? How does it work? Does the same rule apply to games and music?
