I just don't know how I make it through the day sometimes. I am so overburdened that I have these panic attacks, like I can't breath and my chest feels sunken in. Do you think it may have to do with my current living situation? I hope the photo isn't blurry:

My Filipina mother is a fantastic cook! She is always receiving accolades of how tasty her dishes are. I have eaten her food for all of my 37 years of life, and have never tired, nor will ever tire of her cooking.

I would like to start a restaurant (a small and modest one) that features her cooking. She still needs some coaxing to warm up to the idea.

Anyways. Anyone have any advice on how to start one?

Things like:

~ How do we trial run the concept? Seeing if people in our area would be interested in a particular ethnic food.

~ What are the general start-up costs involved in opening a small restaurant? And, if that amount of capital is not readily available, how to go about raising it?

~ What are basic principles in ensuring a restaurant does not fail? What are guidelines or the "Dos and Dont's" generally applied?

~ Are there differences of menued and buffet restaurants? In terms of operating costs and codes?

~ What kinds of licenses and certifications are involved?

Well, I am quite sick of it at this point. I am at a loss and am ready to abandon it altogether.

Before I do, however, perhaps someone can help me solve the problem I am having with it.

I have been using Firefox for the better part of 3 years now, with never a problem. However, with my recent discovery and fascination with some of the extensions and add-ons I have installed, Firefox has been rendered inoperable.

I had downloaded 2 extensions and planned on downloading more. The 2 were the toolbar weather forecast, and the plug-in that displays a snapshot of a website from it's link.

After installing the latter, it required Firefox to restart. It shut down, but never came back up. I tried restarting it several times to no avail. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, also several times to no avail. I have removed it with the Add/Remove programs from the Control Panel and removed any files I could find with the word Firefox and Mozilla.

Perhaps a bundled software package that includes items such as Excel, Word, etc.

Also, a free Picture Viewer like Adobe Photoshop. I do not need as robust a program though. I only need minor editing abilities.

I have an office PC that has Windows Me on it, and it sucks royally!

My boss won't foot for a new PC or OS, but I do have the freedom to load anything I want on it, at my own expense. Of course, being the cheapskate that I am, I would prefer an OS that is free.

I have read that Linux is a great Windows alternative (but really, how many alternatives are there?) but am intimidated. I am by no stretch of the imagination a PC guru. I have grown very comfortable with Windows' relative ease of use.

Some of the stuff I have come across about Linux really makes me apprehensive about installing it. I have heard on some cases having to make some sort of ISO file or debootstrap or partition. All of these may have well been written in Klingon. I understand none of it.

That is what is appealing about Windows, in that you download a file, click open the folder, click on an icon, and Wham Bam, Thank You Ma'am!, it's installed, up and running.

I cannot log in. It doesn't recognize my Yahoo ID OR password. Is this a result of the new version? Is this just temporary? I have not been able to log in since yesterday evening.

This is very discerning. I have important emails that I must be able to access.

If my account has legitimately been suspended by Yahoo (which I cannot imagine why as I have not violated any ToS), how do I retrieve my email from that account. Is there a way I can migrate those emails to the new account I had to create?
