New Toyota Camery that had soda in gear shifting area?
My mom took her car to the shop yesterday due to not being able to put the car in gear. Took awhile to get in drive to get there, but she did then once she parked they couldn't even get it into drive to take into shop! Once they opened it up they saw that the gear shift (inside) was absolutely COATED in a sticky (soda like) substance! She has had the car less than 6 months and has never spilled anything in the car! She's very anal about this. It was a brand new car. She is upset because the only way this could has happened is if someone who worked on the car poured it in there, or it was done before she purchased the car. Does anyone have any tips on what we can do about this? We know we didn't do it.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoShould I take my puppy to Banfield?
I got a new puppy over the weekend and she needs to go to a vet within a couple days of getting her. We want to make sure she is healthy before we get to attach, the place we got her from has a two day return policy on pets. If we find she has any defects or is already sick (Parvo, etc.) we can return her for another puppy or our money back. SO..... i was wanting to take her to Banfield for several reasons; a friend takes her dog to one (no the same one) and loves it, the wellness plan actually works out to be less $$ than a local vet would be, and the location is very convenient. I of course have been reading the horror stories on here, but I would also like to hear from those who like that place! Just looking for more insight into the place.. Thanks.
2 AnswersDogs1 decade agoShould I prune the roses (various types)?
My fiance and I recently bought home in July and my initial care for the roses was to weed them and fertilize them and get the bugs and disease off of them. Well now that's done they are doing GREAT! But they are growing and growing. I've read that you shouldn't prune till Spring, but these are huge and probably haven't been pruned for a couple years. One rose plant is almost 7 feet tall. I have several different varieties - and all are gorgeous!! I am going to mulch them for the winter to protect the roots within the next couple weeks. Also I live in Virginia, in the mountains. Thank you.

5 AnswersWeddings1 decade agoI thought I had Celiac Disease but a EGD ruled that out...what else could it be?
I've been waiting months to go see a Gastroenterologist about possibly having Celiac Disease. Well I finally have the EGD today and the doctor didn't see anything to indicate Celiac Disease. He mentioned Gastroparesis and Gastritis. But what I don't understand is that I have alot of the symptoms of Celiac Disease. I'm still waiting on the results of the biopsy but I'm so confused. The doc told me to start a Gluten Free diet a couple weeks ago, and I did. But then the other day I slipped and ate some bread and i felt like crap, horrible diarrhea and all. Anyone else had an issue like this?
3 AnswersOther - Diseases1 decade agoI have an elderly neighbor who I believe is delusional - what should I do to get her help?
I live in a condo complex. I have an elderly neighbor who's condo backs up to mine. Starting last December she has been coming over to my condo telling us to stop playing "When the Saints go Marching In" every night at midnight - leaving us notes and calling the police on us! She even went so far last week as to call the condo owner (who happens to be my parents). She is clearly delusional, we don't play that kind of music nor do we hardly play any music in the condo. I've talked to our other neighbors, and they don't hear anything. She brings up this issue every 4 or so months, technically I consider what she's doing Harassment. But I think she is elderly and is having delusions. Does anyone have experience with something like this? She's approximately 70 years old, disabled, walks with a walker and drives. I'm concerned about her, she lives alone and i've never seen anyone visit her - not sure if she has family to contact. Suggestions on what I should do or who I should contact pleas

4 AnswersCredit1 decade agoWhat to do if you get a dog bite, report it, but by the time animal control arrives the dog has been moved.?
My friend was bit by a dog a week ago, once she finally got ahold of animal control to report the dog the owner had hidden any evidence that a dog had lived on the property and gotten rid of the dog and her puppies. At the time she was bitten, she asked the owner if the dog had its shots and he stated "a couple years ago" so since this dog cannot be found to test for rabies, etc. my friend ishaving to undergo rabies shots. The man and his family still adimantly(?) declares they dont' have a dog, and never have. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do in this case? My friend is having to pay for the rabies shots and miss work for it - and we'd like her to get reimbursed, but since the dog can't be found....

7 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoHas anyone had this issue with a Comcast Scientific Atlanta DVR?
I have a Explorer 8300HD. I have an HD television. When it is installed the picture is red (can see the tv shows) and there is no sound. I went to my neighbors, check his set up and he came over to help. We tried everything. Does this sound like a DVR issue, or possibly something with my tv? I also got a regular Digital box for my other tvs and it works fine with the same tv. So i think it is the box/??? HELP!! Suggestions are welcome of what to try.

5 AnswersTattoos1 decade agoDating a guy, really care for him and actually love him - but I have no sexual feelings about him....?
We have been dating a little over a month. He's a great guy, treats me great, etc. And we get along great. But there is absolutely NO sexual chemistry there. Yes we've had sex - but to me its more like a duty and not fun. Which is totally unlike me. I love sex and even have "buddies" when i'm not dating someone. Is this something I should bother working with or just move on?

5 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoIs it too early to say the L word??
I have only been dating my boyfriend going on the 4th week now. We are both adults (mid 20s). I really care about this guy, he's everything i'm looking for in a guy, and he treats me great. We didn't meet till our first date (we were hooked up by a mutual friend). So we've technically only "known" eachother for 4 weeks as well. But I have such strong feelings for him the past few days when we see eachother I have a strong urge to say "I Love You". But I don't because I'm afraid of what he'll say. I know he cares for alot as well. The other night in bed I was thinking about if I should say it or not and he of course says "What ya thinking?". I told him that I was thinking about how much I liked him and cared for him. And since then almost everytime i want to say "I Love You" he asks me "what ya thinking?" I guess I get some goofy look on my face or something. Do you think since he keeps asking me what i'm thinking that maybe he is wanting me to say it first?
15 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoMemory Problems...?
I have HORRIBLE memory. I can never remember people names unless i've been around them alot. I'm bad at remember movies/books/etc that i've read or seen. I don't remember my childhood hardly at all or even high school days (i'm only 24). Do you think there is something wrong w/ me or could this just be how i am?
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoDog with possible kidney stones?
I had my brother take my dog to the vet today (i work over an hour away from the vet) to get her yearly shots and to "troubleshoot" some issues I've seen come up. She is urinating more frequently and doesn't seem to be able to hold it as well as she used to when i was at work. She is also pooping more inside, where she used to be able to hold that at leaest till she went out. And she is pooping a slight bit more now. When I walk her she immediately pees, walks another minute, pees again, etc. Like she always has to pee. AND she appears very weak at some points, I also think she has arthritis in her legs.
She is getting tested now to see what may be the issue(s).
Any suggestions?
6 AnswersDogs1 decade ago'96 Merc. Sable possible transmission problems, what do u think?
I had noticed "jumping" in my car and when I took it in they serviced the transmission (whatever that entails) and that helped temporarily. So next time I took it in I asked them about it, and now they are saying they do hear something in the transmission and the engine. And they are quoting around 3k to get it all looked at and fixed. Very trustworthy mechanics, known forever (so I won't take it somewhere else!). So I've just gone about my business hoping it doesn't just stop on me. Yesterday it started to obviously jerk/vibrate several times - Once when i was stopped at a stop light, going up a somewhat steep hill and trying to speed up, and then soon after the vehicle was started and was just idling. So is this the transmission? Any suggestions what I can do myself, i.e. add transmisison oil, etc.
5 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agoWas hired, but the manager made a mistake and now I don't have the job!?
What would you do in this situation? I applied for and got a job with the local Applebee's to be a hostess. We arranged for me to come in a few days later on Thursday at 5:30 to do the paperwork and for me to observe everyone at work. Well when I arrived at 5:30, no one was expecting me! The manager on duty called the manager that hired me and he said I was supposed to be there at 3pm! My availability clearly states I cannot come in before 5:30, so he made the mistake. I was told to call him the next morning to rearrange another start date. When I called he said he would call me by the end of the day because he was still working on the schedules. He never called. I waited till Sunday to call back. The person who answered the phone asked who i was then went to get him. They then came back on the phone and said he wasn't there. I think he's avoiding me. I don't understand why I am havign to pay for his mistake! I was offered a job and I accepted, no paperwork done yet.
