  • Does the value of a home go down if right next to a school?

We are looking into a 1916 bungalow in northern ca. The home is in a terrifc neighborhood but is litterally right next door to juionr high.

They are asking $399 for the home, 3 bed 1 bath, 1088 sq feet on a 2088 square foot lot. The home is in good condition and has been on the market since September. Does this seem like a reasonable price?

There is also no drive way or garage....

Thanks for all who respond, we are just trying to determine what to put our offer in at. They bought it for $391 in 2004...

  • Grand entrance idea opinions?

We will be getting married in Monterey, CA int he old historic district. We came across these bikes called surreys last time we were down there....

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://img....

My idea is to have each couple in the bridal party (3 girls, 3 guys) and me and my groom ride in to the reception on the surreys as an interesting way to introduce ourselves as the married couple...

The reception is in an old walled in adobe garden and we would enter in through the large wrough iron gates. Thoughts? Fun? Stupid?

I have an alice wonderland, through the looking glass dated roughly 1900 (no date on the publishing page). There are 5 hand colored lithography plates within the book.

I by no means need some to help me plan it as thats all been done, I more or less am looking for someone to be there for rehersal and day of to help keep things flowing smoothly as well as get some good deals when negotiating with the vendors.

In your experiance for those of you that did not hire one now do you wish you had? Or the opposite those that hired one that had bad experiances or felt that they were a waste of money?
