  • 5 days old is this sleep normal and are these meds ok ?

I'm a new mom to a 5 day old baby boy.Since I was pregnant I've heard of staying up all night the first few months with a crying baby.

My son sleeps all day all night.I wake him up about every 2.5-3 hours to feed him and change him as often as possible but he never wants to stay awake.

I feed him and he's passed out again. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I had a c-section and the pain and swelling i'm going through is unbareabe and my doc has me on Ibuprofen 800mg and Percocet.I am breast feeding could this effect the baby and could this possibly be why he sleeps all the time?
