I mean I was reduced me to a sniveling, weeping mass of blubber. I felt more emotional pain than I have in years combined. The thing is nothing bad was done. No lies were told, no promises broken. I was eager for something and not only was that eagerness not returned it was blatantly disregarded. I want to call and confront them but I can't do that with out causing guilt. I don't believe they deserve guilt since there was no wrong doing. I have already missed a big event because I was so upset and I don't want that to happen again. We are not an emotional family and do not normally share our deep feelings. How do I handle this? Do I call and confront them or do I ignore all the feelings I have? I need honest opinions. What is the "mature" route to take?

I am trying to find a good book for my father. He is 72 and recently bed bound by a stroke. He enjoys comedy. He has read several of my books by Janet Evanovich (Stephanie Plum series) and Patricia Cornwell (Scarpetta series), but I don't want to get him something to girl-y (read romance-y) does anyone have any good suggestions?
