So on the rental application it says that the application fee is the same as first month's rent. If my application is accepted it turns into the deposit, but if it is rejected it is non refundable. I've never heard of such a thing and it worries me because the landlord can reject my application for any reason.

Second part to the question, I have a debt on my credit of $1,000 for when I co-signed on an apartment for a boyfriend and he skipped out on payments. I haven't paid it off on manner of principal, but could this give the landlord an excuse to reject my application.

The landlord seemed excited about me renting the property and even marked the house as rented on her website to reserve it for me. I am so confused.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm looking to change my hair. I'm not exactly sure how I want it, I just want something new. It's long and very thick and wavy. It is very dry and can get frizzy if I don't take care of it good enough. I'm not looking to change my natural color, just the style. Any suggestions? Please and thank you!

I am currently a sophomore undergrad english major. I have recently been doing research on paralegals, and I think the job fits expectations perfectly. So, my question is what kind of education will give me the best advantage in getting hired and having a high salary. Should i continue on and earn my bachelor degree in english and then get paralegal certification? Or, should I stop working towards my bachelor degree and just earn an associate degree in paralegal studies and begin working more quickly? Is there any advantage in having a bachelor degree in english, or am I just wasting my time if I will end up as a paralegal in the end?

Also, I may consider going to law school after working as a paralegal for a couple of years. I'm not 100% sure of that decision, but any advice will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having some problems with my best friend of about a year now. We are both freshmen in college and spend a lot of time together. In the beginning of our friendship I thought we were a good fit for each other, but lately everything has fallen apart.

She is an extreme type a person, while I am an extreme type c. For example, when we are in class together she criticizes everyone around us and says hateful things loud enough for them to hear. She calls a mentally handicapped boy who sits in front of us a "tard" and I'm sure he's heard her. I'm not the best at expressing how I feel about things, so when she says things like this I just turn away or say no. She is constantly making fun of the thing I say or do, and when I'm around her and her boyfriend she's constantly yelling and fighting with him. This stresses me out to the extreme.

The main problem is that any time I try to pull away from her or talk about the way I feel, she starts acting like the victim and tells me I'm her only friend and she loves me. I just want to be alone but she won't let me. She guilts me into hanging out with her constantly, and makes me get into situations with her that I normally wouldn't put myself in, such as partying and drug situations.

I don't know how to express myself to her, and we have many classes together. I want to break away from her but I don't know how. Should I get counseling about expressing my feelings? How should I deal with this?

I am considering attending Harding University because my parents are hardcore Church of Christ members and are willing to pay for all of my college if I go there. I want to have a more open mind about subjects of study, and I plan on majoring in psychology so I know that a church school would not be ideal for that. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the truth about Harding University's academics and strict rules. I do not know if I would enjoy going to this university, but any opinions or advice from alumni or knowledgeable people would be greatly appreciated :)

I am having a very tough time deciding where to go to college. I am third in my class with a 30 on my act so I can pretty much go anywhere. I have narrowed my choices down to Oklahoma University and the Texas Tech honors college. I will be studying linguistics no matter where i choose. My main dilemma is my boyfriend of 8 months goes to Texas Tech, and he will be crushed if I end up not going to tech. He is extremely codependent and is making me feel terrible about not wanting to go to tech. I very much prefer OU to Tech, but tech is also less expensive.

So long story short, I want freedom from my clingy boyfriend at OU, but the Texas Tech honors college will save me money.

Both colleges are about equal distance from where I live and I am a Texas resident. Please help!!

Also, Tech only offers linguistics as a minor, not a major. Would it be ok to major in psychology with a minor in linguistics? I am so confused, please help :)

There is no logical theoretical reason for the concept of federalism but we are stuck with it. Tell me what you think are the strengths and weaknesses of a federal government.

I have been having my period since 8th grade and I am now a junior in high school. I only get a period once every 2-4 months. I want to regulate it, but my mom refuses to buy me birth control. Are there any natural ways to regulate it? Or possibly a way to get free birth control?

Ok so here's the story...

I have been talking to this guy for several months, and a couple of days ago he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes of course, and things seemed pretty good. But, the next day he wouldn't answer my texts and he only answered me like once at night to tell me that he had been sleeping all day and now he's going back to bed. I said ok fine then he didn't text me again until late the next day. I asked him if he was sure he was actually sleeping all that time, and he just blew up on me and started griping me out.

He's never acted like this before, and he hasn't answered my texts or phone calls in three days. I don't know what to do cause i don't want to be clingy and obsessive, but i don't know what to do to get him to answer me. I know he reads my messages and he rejects my calls so what can i do??

He lives in another town so its not like i can just go to his house or anthing.

My hair is extremely thick, but not like african american thick, and a little past my shoulders and layered. I can usually only straighten it once a week in the mornings because it takes so long to do it and all my hair never stays straight even using a very expensive chi iron. My hair doesn't look good when i scrunch it because it just poofs out and i look silly. I also don't really like wearing my hair up because it doesn't compliment my face.

Any ideas on new ways i can do my hair? Anything helps, thanks!

ok so i have an important dance type thing coming up where i have to wear a skimpy dress. the dress was ordered a couple of months ago and i received it today. it is much too tight and i HAVE to fit into this one dress because i'm in my friends court. i need a fast easy way to cut off my extra pounds/water weight in just a week. i don't care if it's not healthy because this is not a permanent thing just one week so please don't lecture me on long-term weight loss. please help! thanks

I have tried proactive, acne free, aveeno, differin, tazorac, tetracycline, and minocycline and nothing works on my acne. I heard about this light treatment and i'm hesitant to buy it without knowing if it works or not. Another product i was looking at is skinid...how effective it that system?

I've been using proactive for about 2 weeks and it's worked pretty well, but now my face is begining to peel and flake. If I stop using Proactive my face breaks out, so what can i do to make the flakiness go away without stopping the use of proactive?

I am 14 years old and I don't want to be just an average teenager. I know all the basic ways of changing the world... (i.e. not littering, keeping a plant), but I would really like to be noticed for whatever aceivements I might make. If I can't make a difference or make my name known in the world, my own hometown or just my state or country could do.
