1 AnswerCell Phones & Plans1 decade agoMesophelioma cancer from environmental asbestos in Hainault Essex?
My Mum has recently passed away from this despicable form of cancer which once diagnosed is extremely ravaging and almost untouchable with the usual types of cancer treatments, the form the exposure took was from the pre-fab home she lived in New North Road in Hainault, a council property that they never knew the risks of living in, or that it even contained asbestos. I only hope that one day these council planners that knew the risks get the same as what my Mum had to fight with her last breath...
If there are any people with knowledge of this particular area of Essex with it's Asbestos, I would like to hear your experiences.

Prince William and his girlfriend after being snapped leaving a nightclub are then agressively pursued in cars, on motorbikes and on foot by photographers, at this time of inquest on his mother's death should the Paparazzi be a little more sensitive or are they all heartless b@stards?

http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30100-12855... This link is the article in question, does it go far enough, I beleive not, our men and women deserve more for risking their lives on a daily basis without much support in the way of equipment or help when back in the UK, injured or otherwise. Please give your opinion.
12 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoIs the British Army the only one in the world that doesn't shy away from our defeats?
Britain seems to me to revel in the history of some of our greatest defeats, for example Isandlwana the Zulu campaign, complete defeat, yet everyone remembers Rourke's Drift, and so they should. Operation Market Garden WWII, generally thought of as a major defeat, yet not shunned and hidden away but celebrated as a heroic stand against all odds. Are we as a nation alone in this kind of thinking? Don't dare to mention Vietnam or Korea to the Americans! Please discuss.
23 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoDoes Stephen Fry not deserve more recognition?
He is a very successful comedian, writer, actor, documentary maker and an all round walking talking encyclopedia. He lives with being Bi Polar (manic depressive), has a vast cavern for a brain filled with more information that wikipedia, and has opened the floodgates of knowledge on the before mentioned documentary to people that had no idea they may have a mental illness. The man actually deserves to be Sir Stephen Fry and yet will still have to wait till Prince Charles becomes king before he will ever get it. Am I the only one that thinks he is one of Britain's greatest assets or not, please discuss.

11 AnswersTelevision1 decade agoWhy are we forcing our servicemen to be flown in antique helicopters?
British Puma helicopters have been in service 30 years, does anyone think that American special forces have to put up with being flown about in out of date carriers. Our special forces, the S.A.S. or S.B.S. are highly trained and to expensive to lose, as are any of our servicemen. Should'nt the government start giving our men and women the equipment they need to do the job they ask of them!

13 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoCan Americans laugh at themselves?
On Sunday night Top Gear once again risked life and limb, not in a Dragster racer like Hampster, but in the deep south of America. Didn't think the BBC would be so reckless with 3 of their best presenters, but what this episode did show is how little Americans can take people poking fun at them. Top Gear should have known better! but then again so should the Americans!
P.S. Still think it was funny, just a little on the dangerous side. Here's a link to the clip for any Americans that want to see it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6MJVzXbqRU
16 AnswersTelevision1 decade agoIf British soldiers retaliated in a BLUE on BLUE situation, would our government hush it up?
If our lads in that convoy of vehicles when under attack from the tankbusters, had returned fire in that kill or be killed situation, with a rocket and taken out one of the aircraft do you think the British government would protect our soldiers and defend their decision or feed them to the Americans on a silver plater? You can bet they would want some kind of retribution from our side.
