google wants credit card information?
Three days ago I wanted to check my emails and found I could not open either of my gmail accounts. There was no explanation as to why I couldn't open my accounts so I filed a report. Later hearing about the Yahoo problem I thought perhaps google had just 'tightened' up and so thought I would wait for a day or so then try again. I had given my Yahoo email address so they could contact me and today I heard from them. The email in my Yahoo account (that I took a screenshot of) told me that they needed more information and gave me a link to a page that states that they want my credit card information so that they can charge me while I give them the information they want. (I took a screenshot of this also). I went to the google forum for complaints/suggestions but a person has to log into his/her gmail account first, which I am unable to do.
Now please don't think that I have a problem with getting rid of google, I have my Yahoo account that I have never had a problem with that wasn't fixed right away. But I have a lot of pictures on the gmail accounts of my great-grandchildren. I don't send emails to anyone as a general rule, if I want to talk to someone I phone them if at all possible. But I have these different email accounts because at one time I belonged to some PSP groups and there was a constant flow of images.
What I am wondering about with my closed accounts (and google asking for money to simply ask a few questions that could be done in an email) is that is it possible that it is not google at all but someone pretending to be? I have a good virus scanner and scan on a regular basis, but could google have a problem? I don't like to just judge hastily but google isn't like Yahoo where a person can get a problem resolved quickly through emails.
Has anyone else been asked for credit card information after having the account inaccessible?
2 AnswersGoogle9 years agoLooking for Christmas songs?
I'm looking for a radio station or even a site on the Internet that plays traditional Christmas carols. Like Silent Night, The first Noel, Away in a Manger, that kind of music. I want the words and the music. But I can't find anything at all, not on the radio and not over the net unless I want to pay for a cd. I don't like buying off of the net because if there is something wrong with the cd I can't send it back. I just want to listen to regular Christmas music. Does anyone know of a radio station or site where I can do this without any gimmicks involved?

I would like to know if anyone remembers the name of a movie. It was about a rich man that created a sort of house/castle but inside it was mostly made of chocolate. There was candy also but lots, and lots of chocolate. I remember seeing a chocolate pond with a chocolate bridge. Anyway I'm looking for the exact title of this movie.
I know many people here have probably seen the movie, but trying to remember the exact title may be a different thing.

I am canning/preserving different types of fruits this season. Two I am doing right now are plums and strawberries. I find that just a little sugar is fine but if I add the 5-6 cups of sugar required in most recipes it becomes a terribly sweet jam that is not palatable. What I want is a type of 'preserve' not a jam. Does anyone have any good recipes for low sugar canning?
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoWhere to get a domain name?
I want to set up a website and am feeling a bit lost. Many sound good until I look up any complaints about them and then they aren't so good. Also I find that they are asking me questions that I have no way of answering, like how many visitors do I expect a day, how many mg's do I need etc. I have no way of knowing how many people will visit the site, but I do know that I need 3 linkups - two that will go to word formats and the 3rd to a very small forum. I do not want any forced ads or banners on the site. If I decide to put ads in then I want to be the one to make that decision and also make the decision as to what ads I will allow. It is also imperative that I have a domain name that I can move around with me should I decide to change web hosts. Where can I acquire a domain name for a reasonable amount of money. And can anyone suggest a good web host? (There are 2 questions here).
