MACBOOK (laptop) ISSUES! Can my laptop be backed up by the consumer or fair trading act?
About 3-4 years ago I bought a Macbook laptop with extended warranty. However recently it has been giving me quite a few problems, problems that has not been caused by me. I recently took it in for repairs where they found something is wrong with the laptop which was not caused by me. They apparently 'fixed' the problem , however it still gives me headaches. Now I am sick of the laptop as it is not performing to its purpose. Obviously one should expect something as expensive as a Macbook should be able to work for several years, 5 years at the least. My warranty has expired but that does not mean I expect the laptop to break within the warranty time frame. The laptop is for personal use and was not bought under a business name. Now... I would like to take the product back as this really is not what I paid for and got told that a mac book will last ages. Is there anything under the consumers garuntee or fair trading act that could back me up in this situation?
