Is marijuana ever going to be legalized in this country?
Will it be legalized for recreational use(like alcohol) or for medicinal purposes?

My favorite part of the article is where they threw their driver's license out with the bank's dye pack.
Any other stories from recent news you think deserve the title of "worst criminal" please link them.
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics1 decade agoWhy is it so difficult for "faith healers" to believe?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090801/ap_on_re_us/us...
This father prayed instead of seeking medical attention for his daughter who died from undiagnosed diabetes symptoms.
My question to people in this mind set is this: why is it so hard to believe that medicine works? Yes faith in God is a good thing, but have faith in your fellow man that God may have called to be a medical provider for your child. There is nothing in the Bible that says man cannot heal, or that it's a sin to put your life or the lives of others in their hands. If God can call people to preach the Gospel, He sure can do the came for the medical field.
You don't have to answer this question or even provide an opinion, I just wanted to rant.
2 AnswersAlternative Medicine1 decade agoIs the minimum wage hike a good idea?
Federal wage floor will rise to $7.25 an hour on July 24. Does this wage hike improve the overall quality of life of American workers, or is it offset by job loss because of increased labor costs?
Please speak intelligently on the subject so you don't get the thumbs down and try not to turn your answer into a political name calling game.

1 AnswerMedia & Journalism1 decade agoHow big of a man are you if you bomb children?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/as_sri_lanka_civil_war
I don't know the details of this conflict but between the Sri Lankan government and the rebels they are trying to bomb there are civilians dying. Both sides are looking like tyrants when civilians die. Learn from the mistakes of the US government. Don't kill the people who are not fighting or you will end up looking worse than the people you are fighting.
5 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy do you stop spending money when you are in debt, but the government spends more money when in debt?
When most people have no money in the bank, they've run their credit cards too high, and they can't pay the light bill they start cutting back on expenses and start looking for other ways to make money. Yet when the federal government has an already gigantic budget deficit, the government starts spending money like there is no tomorrow.
When President Obama speaks of change he must not be referring to keeping a balanced budget, or am I missing something?

7 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoAny other reasons to deny government bailouts to failing companies?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081008/ap_on_bi_ge/me...
The news link above is found on yahoo's home page. When the government gave AIG a huge bailout, the top executives in the company threw themselves a $440,000 party (details in the story). The question is: why pay taxes if the government is just going to waste the money?
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhy have we not cut taxes on gas prices?
http://www.gaspricewatch.com/usgastaxes.asp
The link above is a list of gas and diesel taxes nationwide by state. Take the number in the left-hand collumn and add $0.18/gal to get the total tax everytime you fill up. In Texas for example, gas prices would be $0.38/gal lower without these taxes. Plain and simple the government is a big part of the problem with gas prices, yet the do the most whining about the oil companies.
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat else should I put on my computer?
I am currently running a nice system, but I want it to be overkill/ridiculous. I have an AMD x2 6400+ black edition, 3870x2 graphics card, 6 gb 6400 pc8500 DDR2, a zalman 9700 cpu fan, 750w power supply, in an antec 900 case.
I'm going to upgrade to the Phenom 9850 when it comes out, and add another 3870x2. Outside of that, I can't think of much else to add. Have I hit my cap on this rig?
3 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoWhen are people going to let Dianna's death go?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080220/ap_en_ce/brita...
This news article points the finger at British intelligence as being responsible for princess Dianna's death. I'm a firm believer in the theory that the simplest answer is probably the correct one. Unless there is SOLID evidence that princess Dianna was murdered, can these nut job theories please stop taking up space on the news sections? I'm sick of hearing theories 10 years later.

4 AnswersElections1 decade agoIs this the dumbest law ever, or is their a worse one? Saggy pants ban.?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070829/ap_on_re_us/od...
The saggy pants ban is in Shreveport, LA. A person sagging more than 3 inches below the waist line is subject to a $100 fine. Is this the dumbest law you have ever seen? Is it really enforcable? Does it target young black men? Would a cop really waste their time on enforcing this law?
