  • my 8 month old still wakes up in the middle of the night? help?

My son is 8 months old and still wakes up 2 times a night. He does NOT eat so it is not because he is hungry. He also gets put in his crib wide awake and puts himself to sleep for naps and at bed time so it is not that he cant settle himself down.

I have tried letting himself cry to sleep but he can go for Hrs if I let him. the first time around 1am I rock him back to sleep and then put him back in bed but at the 4am waking he is up for the next 1-2hrs no matter what I do. I try rocking him, pulling him into bed with me, leaving him in his crib and even giving him a bottle (he has no interest in eating it) nothing works. It is like he is up for the day.

He goes down at 9pm and only takes 2 naps during the day. He also eats 3 meals a day.

Does any one experience this? will he just grow out of it or is there something I can do?

  • Can I get a sample schedule for a 7 month old?

I am a stay at home mom and my son is on 3 meals of solids a day and is now on formula. I was trying to come up with a sample schedule for food, bottle, nap and bed times for a 7 month old. I would like to get him on a more structured day then just when he is hungry/tired. Any help would be nice, Thanks.

  • How long did your baby have to be swaddled to go to sleep?

My son is 7 months old and I still have to swaddle him to get him to sleep. I don't have to rock him I just swaddle him and put him in his crib and he goes to sleep. After he is asleep he will stretch out and sleep just fine. My question is how long will he have to do this and is it a problem if he is still being swaddled? It wont be long before he is too big for his blanket? And yes we have tried several times to put him down without doing it but never works.

  • My 6 month old has such bad gas he wakes up screaming every night with bad stomach pains. Help!?

My son was extremely colic for 5 months and has just started to get over it but he still wakes up every night screaming with such bad stomach pains and I can't get him to sleep till after about an hour of walking him around so he can pass gas. Once he does he is just fine and will go back to sleep for a few more hours till it starts all over again. This happens about 3 times a night. I have him on formula and he has been on solids for a few months. The doctor said that it would not help to change formulas and that he will grow out of it but I think there is more to it. Does anyone experience this?

He also has a few fits still during the day but for the most part he is fine during the day. This is making it so he only gets 9-10 hours of sleep total in 24hrs and he needs more then that. I have tried everything

    Gripe Water

    Milacon

    Worm bath

    Swaddling

    Different formulas

I am trying to decide if I should go to a different doctor and if anyone has some idea of what else medically might be wrong with him.

    Thank you for your help.
