Windows 8.1 Update failure?
So I recently updated my win8.1 laptop just like any other update. But now I can't access any apps at all. Only desktop programs. This includes PC settings, meaning I can't restore my computer that way. Is there another way? If so, how? If not, what can I do?

When I have audio in a video and play the video from the beginning, the audio is fine. But if I play the video from any point in the middle of it, it is off by at lease a full second. Because of this, I cannot line up the audio with the video correctly (Which is critical for this video). Is there anything I can do about it without losing my current progress?

Before you say it's broken, let me tell you that one of my "friends" Click on an advert which downloaded a virus. The virus is now gone, but it left these lines that go up and down on the screen. They change places and numbers every time I turn on the pc. That's all I know about them.
