  • Arturo Gatti vs. Barrera, Morales and Marquez @ 130?

Arturo Gatti against the 3 amigos?

Who do you think will win at Super Featherweight, 130 lbs.

    All in their primes.

    Let's say

** The Gatti who fought Ruelas and Rodriguez.

    ** vs.

** The Barrera who fought Morales the 3rd time.

** The Morales who fought Pacquiao the 1st time.

** And the Marquez who fought Pacquiao the 2nd time.

And how do you think it will play out?

Gatti is so much bigger against the 3 mexicans,

and that could only be his biggest hope,

combined with his heart and courage.

  • Would you want to see Vazquez vs. Marquez 5?

Both Vazquez and Marquez deserved respect for what they have offered to the sport and the fans. Their previous 4 fights are all wars but there still some itch to see a 5th and final encounter. The reason is that they have a couple of wins against each other, and none of those wins are totally very convincing, even though they were knockouts.

For example: in the 1st fight, Marquez won by stoppage in the 6th. Vazquez suffered a broken nose, he wants to continue but he can't breathe therefore the stoppage.

In the 2nd fight, the referee stops the fight after Marquez gets trapped under a barrage of combination from Vazquez. Many observers the stoppage was premature.

In the 3rd fight, Many observers thought the fight could go either ways, or better yet a draw despite the knockdown in the 12th scored by Vazquez. So there is no convincing winner.

And in the 4th, Vazquez suffered a horrible cut in his left eye. Forcing the referee to stop it. Even thought Vazquez is in the downhill, he still fought bravely in the 4 round encounter.

A 5th fight would settle the score, and the winner here might become someday a first-ballot Hall of Famer, as Vazquez or Marquez will be proud someday that they won 3 of the 5 fights of one of the most brutal and vicious rivalry ever in boxing.

  • Who's your current TOP 10 P4P fighters?

    mine are:

    1. Manny Pacquiao

    2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.

    3. Shane Mosley

    4. Paul Williams

    5. Juan Manuel Marquez

    6. Wladimir Klitschko

    7. Bernard Hopkins

    8. Miguel Angel Cotto

    9. Chad Dawson

    10. Nonito Donaire

    notes:

    - Donaire don't deserve to be no.5 by Ring Magazine. What was his biggest win, against Darchinyan that was almost 3 years ago. Vic has done more. But still holds a loss against Nonito so I think he is lower.

    - Wladimir Klitschko, even in my eyes already nearing to dominate a fairly weak heavyweight division should not be mislooked.

    - Marquez's loss to Mayweather should not hurt him much and IMO he's still at Top 5.

    - I was thinking of putting Williams over Mosely due to what Williams have accomplished in the last 3 years. Wins over Martinez, Wright, Margarito are good. Mosley inactivity affects it.

  • Manny Pacquiao vs. Johnny Tapia. Prime. Who wins?

Both fighters at their best at 122 pounds. Tapia is an underrated boxers who dominated the 115-lb. division when he campaigned there. His only real true loss when he was still not totally on the downside was against Barrera. Tapia has underrated defense, excellent chin, fast hand speed and footwork and has non-stop punching work rate.

Pacquiao on the other hand, has not yet matured when he was at 122-lbs.

And was a pretty much jab and straight left fighter.

    Who do you think wins?

  • If Marquez beats Mayweather, then Pacquiao? Will he be greater than Julio Cesar Chavez?

Assuming he beats Floyd in September and in his third fight against Manny for the Welterweight championship in 2010 (assuming Pacquiao gets past Cotto).

These are huge wins for him, better than Whitaker and Taylor for Chavez. Since both Pacquiao and Mayweather are considered the 2 best boxers of the decade. I think Mexicans will love him more than Chavez if he accomplished that. Also he would have won title in 4 weight classes (126-130-135-147), first time in Mexico.

Guys, who'd you think will win and why?. Castillo never been KO'ed at 135 and is a very durable fighter who fights toe to toe but also has skills. Pacquiao, with speed and power as great stamina.

  • Who's the greatest Asian boxer, Fighting Harada or Manny Pacquiao?

Who do you think has a greater legacy between them?

Harada is a smart boxer that can box and move, he throws jabs to set his hard punches. He nearly become a 3 division champion, losing a controversial decision to Jhonny Famechon. And he has two wins against, possibly the greatest Bantamweight of all time, Eder Jofre.

Also has a win against hall-of-famer Jose Medel and Pone Kingpetch.

Pacquiao is a pure fighter with a sledgehammer left cross, a slugger early in his career transformed into a boxer-puncher in his later career and campaign at the higher weights. He won titles in 6 weight divisions, and beat 4 lineal champions in different weight class. He has wins over the 3 best Mexican boxers in his era, Barrera, Marquez and Morales. And also beat 10-time world champion De La Hoya and 140-lb kingpin Ricky Hatton.

  • Erik Morales vs. Naseem Hamed at 126. Who wins?

Will Morales be able to outbox Hamed like Barrera? Or Hamed might have a chance to knock him out? since Morales loves to trade blows.

This could have been one of the best fights in the Featherweight division.

  • Sugar Ray Robinson vs. Oscar De La Hoya? at 147?

Both at their primes at Welterweight 147-lbs and 12-rounds?

De La Hoya's very best was when he fought Felix Trinidad in the first 8 rounds. He was bouncing around, very elusive while also offensive at the same time. He outboxed Trinidad in those rounds. If that how would Oscar perform against a 147-lb. Sugar Ray Robinson, do you think he might have a chance to beat him. Close Decision? De La Hoya also has shown a decent chin and a killer left hook in his entire career.

How do you think this fight will go? who would win? Of course, right now, Robinson would be the favorite, he has all the tools. I think this would be a tremedous fight, as long as it last.

  • Manny Pacquiao vs. Arturo Gatti? Prime and 140-lbs.?

Who would win this ultimate match-up of offensive fighters. Both in their prime years and at 140 pounds (Light Welterweight).

The Arturo Gatti who fought Micky Ward for the 1st time and the Pacquiao who fought Oscar De La Hoya. Gatti has always been full of heart and courage while Pacquiao with his tremendous handspeed/stamina and underrated power at higher weight class.

I've been thinking about this fight, many times, and could have easily sold out a 50,000-capacity stadium.
