How much of a role did the Russian revolution play into America's entrance into WW1? Recently I read allot of Wilsons speaches and several news paper acticles of the time and it appears that Wilson and many newspapers were making a case that it was Americas resposnsibility to aid the Russian's in the revolution. Your thoughts?

I recently read about a study done by a group of forensic archaeologist who studied the Battle of the Little Big Horn. Based upon this study it is in my opinion that Majors Reno and Benteen may have contributed to the were failure of the action. According to the statement by the runner who delivered a written message from Custer to Benteen instructing Benteen to move forward with all speed and to bring the ammo Benteen continued his march at a regular pace. Reno having fallen back to a safe position then spent nearly two hours looking for his friend. When Benteen met up with Reno they still did not advance. 1 Captain moved his company forward independently when both Benteen and Reno seemed to be in a trance and unable to make a decision. When the Captain was able to view Custers position it was apparent that the fight was over as the Indians were looting the bodies. When he reported this back to Reno and Benteen it was then that they decided upon their withdrawal.

Do you think that Benteen's resentment of Custer over the Battle of Washita River played a part in Reno's and Benteen's inaction during the battle and that they willing sacrificed their fellow troopers to be rid of Custer?

Will the Breivik trial test the Norwegian legal & political system? The Norwegian people now must be critically examining the Breivik trial and debating over the flaws in their legal system. Will this trial result in changes of the Norwegian Legal system? Will politicians take up these changes during the next elections? Me: I think the Battle of Tripoli, Battle of Derne would make a excellent action movie. How a rag tag grouped landed in Egypt then made there way across the desert to take Tripoli. Hollywood is missing out.
