  • Driving myself crazy after this interview.?

I went on an interview in the beginning of June. I thought the interview went well. The interviewer said that she would be in touch by the foowing week. Two weeks passed and I didn't hear anything from her. Last week I spoke to her and inquired to see if the position was open and weather I was being considered. She said that a decision had not been made yet, but she would be in touch this past week. I have not heard anything from her, and the website that I used to apply for the job has not been updated to reflect weather I have or have not been chosen. What should I do? Should I call her back next week. This is so frustrating because I have been out of work for a year after relocating to anther state. I just want to work and I'm feeling helpless.

  • I need to ask a favor?

I would like everyone to send prayers to my son who was born last saturday, 7-11-2009. Due to my water bag leaking, and gestional diabetes, my son was born with a few complications, which include thicking of the heart and liver problems. He is currently in the NICU in NYC. Even though he is getting better a little bit each day, there are never enough prayers that you can send someones way. Before you go to bed tonight, just kindly say a prayer for Kaden Goodwin. He as well as my family really do appreciate it. Thanks

  • Speech delay and poor eating habits- reposted?

my son will be 3 in October. For the last couple of months, he has been receiving speech therapy services because he has a speech delay. Recently when I took him to his pediatrician, I pointed out to her that he has a poor eating skills. He mostly eats and drinks dairy products ie milk, yogurt, ice cream and cheese. If I attempt to give him other foods, he will chew it and not swallow. He will store it on the side of his mouth. Initially when he started speech therapy, his hearing was checked, and it is fine. I was just looking up the correlation between poor eating habits and speech delay. From what I have read, there is a strong correlation between the 2. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue. All advice is greatly appreciated.

Note: He has already been tested by his pediatircan, special education specialist, and therapist. He has not been diagnosed with any type of autism. He can speak, and actually since starting the speech services, his speech has improved drastically. He was just tested a few days ago. He has went from having a 12-14 month delay to currenly only being 7 months behind. That is great considering he did not start the services earlier than when he did.

Forgot to add that he was just seen by his pediatrican a few days ago for his 2 1/2 year physical. We have to go back in 2 weeks and at that time, I will bring that up to her.

  • 35 weeks pregant and bleeding for the second time?

Last week I went to the hospital because I was bleeding. The blood looked like the beginning of my period. I was kept overnight for observation, and sent home the next day. Last night it started again. I called the on-call service and was told to relax, with my feet up, and to also go see my ob this morning, since I already had an appointment. The blood keeps going from a heavy pinkish to light pink. Last night I also had diarrhea, but it stopped. I am not having any contractions, and have not lifted anything heavy. Like I stated I am going to the doctor in a few hours. I recently went to the bathroom twice, and one time there was blood and the next time there wasn't. I am not having any contractions. I also want to add that I have not had sex either. On saturday, my back and thighs were killing me. My feet were also swollen on saturday. Has anyone else had this happen to them before.

  • Due next month, and baby only weighs 3 pounds?

I know someone that is due next month. The baby only weighs 3 pounds or a little over 3 pounds. Does anyone know what could be wrong with this baby. To my knowledge, the OB has not sent the mother to a specialist. I am also aware that she is not taking her prenatal vitamins, or eating healthy, but I think that there is more to it then that. Anyone have any other suggestions, why this baby is not gaining any weight.

  • Emergency c-section Vs. Planned c-section?

Almost 3 years ago, I had to have an emergency csection with my son due to complications. I am going to have scheduled csection in July. Besides the obvious, are there any differences in regards to both of them. For example, with my son, he was delivered at almost 11pm, and I remember being really sleepy and not being able to keep my eyes open. I do not know if it was from the medication or if I was just that tired. All useful comments welcome.

  • 24 weeks pregnant, and I am really tired.?

I am 24 weeks pregnant with my second. I have diabetes, which i am taking insulin for. At times I suffer from bad headaches, and lower pain that shoots all the way to my butt. I have already spoken to my ob, who has put me on desk duty as well as given me a referral for physical therapy. I feel like crap even though I am on desk duty. My managers at my job are constantly complaining about something, I am feeling sick or throwing up even though I haven't done that since I have been pregnant. No matter how much rest I get, I still feel tired and drained. All I really do is want to sleep. I have no energy for anything. My doctor has tested by thyroid levels, which came back low functioning, he is going to send me to a specialist. I honestly just feel like crap. Do you think that on my next appointment I should ask if they could take me off of work duty. I have no problem not collecting leave yet, because I have anther insurance that I pay, that would cover me until I had the baby. All suggestions are welcome. To note, I am being seen by an diabetic doctor as well as an OB. MY next appt with my diabetic doctor is tomorrow

  • Are your dreams a reality?

I am 18 weeks pregnant, with my second child. My first one is a boy who is 2 years old. Prior to getting pregnant this time, I had a dream that I had a little girl as well. In the dream, my son was holding her hand and we were going to get her hair done. I went to the doctor's last week, and the tech told me that it looks like a boy. At that time, I was not even 17 weeks yet. My heart tells me its a girl. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday, and then I have an anatomy scan on March 11. Has anyone's dreams in regards to the sex of there baby been true, or could it be that I want a little girl so bad, that I dream about it.

  • Toddler hitting himself when upset.?

My son is 28 months. When he gets upset, he starts to hit himself. It doesn't matter where we are. I have already spoken to the doctor, who stated that some children do it for attention. She has told me that when he does it, to ignore him. That is so hard. I hate to see anyone, especially a toddler hitting themselves. Has anyone else experienced this? I think this has something to do with the terrible 2's. Do they really stop or decrease when the child turns 2.

  • Carrying High and Low? What is the sex?

I am 16 weeks and I don't have too much more to go to find out the sex. With my son, I carried low, and with this baby I am carrying low as well. I know the old wives tale says that if you carrying high its a girl and if you are carrying low its a boy. Has anyone ever carried low and had a girl, or carried high and had a boy. Just Curious.
