I broke my arm 5 weeks ago and so haven't been able to drive, during this time I turned the engine over once, about 2 weeks ago and it started first time without a problem. I've just tried to start it again and its just whirring but not engaging. The battery seems to be ok as the radio and full beam headlights work fine.

The second part of the problem is down to the fact that i cant push it, even in neutral with the handbrake off it won't move.

Can anyone give a clue as to what the problem is?

The only annual award worth taking notice of is back this week and having heard all the albums i think Laura Marling or Wild Beasts should win, although Villagers album is pretty good too. What do you think?

i'm no expert on this (clearly) but if national insurance is raised then I thought it would just mean the employee would get less net pay, how would it affect the employer?

I'm looking to buy a used car and looking at a couple, the same make/model and around the same price

one is 5 years old with 33,000 on the clock, the other is 3 years old with 50,000

taking into account having to sell it on again in the future, which am i best going for?

any advice from someone who has done this would be much appreciated

my uncle booked a holiday to America about 3 weeks ago to see some relatives, however, he has a criminal record from about 20 years ago and didn't realise that this would be a problem as he's never done anything like this before. He was told he needs to contact the American embassy for an interview to get a Visa but the next one available is in June and his flight is in April. He can't get a refund and its too late to get the name changed on the ticket so he stands to lose close to £2000.

Is there anything he can do? Is it the travel company's responsibility to make him aware of these things rather than just assume he knows?

not because i don't want to see him playing in the premiership because he is a great player but why would one of the best players in the world consider leaving a club like AC Milan, where he is happy, to go to a club 15th in the premiership with no possibility of being in the champions league next season? obviously money and i'd hate for that to be the reason because it says a lot about that players loyalty

i'm not even going to go into the ridiculous amount of the transfer fee

What does the law suggest i do and what legally can i do? am i supposed to stay upstairs while they stroll out the back door with all my stuff? can I go down and smack him round the head with my cricket bat? no I'll probably get charged. so what to do?
