  • Hamster w/upper respiratory infection.?

My son's hammie, Pudge, was diagnosed by the vet with URI. She was given Baytril orally, but the vet said that it doesn't look good for her. She was terribly dehydrated and the vet put some kind of liquid balloon under her skin to help rehydrate her (it dissolves slowly). She wheezes some. Her eyes were crusted over yesterday, and her nose. Now, only one eye had goo on it (nose is okay), but she has yellowish, semi-runny poo and blood. I have her in my office, which is warmer than the rest of the house and can be closed off to the cats. Is a warm room better for her? We really want her to get better (she is about 1-1/2 years, I'm guessing). Thanks!
