  • Boiling point of molecules (given)?

Can you help with determining which molecule has the higher boiling point, in terms of intermolecular forces: 3-methylbutanal and 2-methylpropanoic acid (Isobutyric Acid).

I know that 2-methylpropanoic acid has a higher boiling point, but I'm not sure what intermolecular forces are present in each molecule, resulting in one molecule having a higher boiling point.

Any comment or guidance would be appreciated.

    Thank you.
