I'm 40, divorced, father of an 13 year old boy and 10 year old girl. I'm a mechanical engineer that loves to make toys for my kids. I love taking them to activities as well as being their cheerleader and be involved in their lives. I love kids as my name suggests. I believe children are a gift from the Lord. I'm on here to offer advice to others based on my 13 yrs of marriage. Sometimes the advice that I give is based on my own failures so others don't repeat the same mistakes. I also like receiving advice from others. I especially like receiving email from folks even to say "Hi". If you want to link to me, I will link back. Always room for another friend.
What do you think is more fun in the way of boats?
I'm thinking about buying a boat. and trying to decide what would be more fun.
a sailboat or a speedboat. anyone have any experience with either?

Since the media made "W". Is Obama's movie going to be named "The Big O"?
9 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoGates wants a nuclear reactor?
Just imagine for a minute, a nuclear reactor powered by Micro$oft Windows. Now for the first time, we have a possiblity inside of a computer virtual meltdown, to real honest to goodness meltdown.
What is the world coming to?
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhere is the outrage from the press over the House using procedural manuevers to pass bills?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100316/ap_on_bi_ge/us...
What is being talked about has NEVER been done before. Involving legislation. and especially the size of scope of that legislation. and on such a razor thin margin.
It's completly outrageous.
It's like we have 1980's Pravda giving us the Goverment talking points of the day.
What would Walter Cronkite say? He reported the news. Not tried to issue the masses the latest goverment chattle.
8 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWas the runaway prius powered by Micro$oft?
Hey that brings up the old GM argument about computers powering cars.

I wonder what software powered that prius.
1 AnswerPolitics1 decade agoWhat would it take for you to participate in a revolution to overthrow a corrupt goverment?
1. Spending money until the currency is worthless
2. Enacting tax laws that take from some to give to others to keep certain groups in power
3. Inadequately protecting our sovereign borders
4. A majority of the ruling party in scandels
5. ________________________________
I'm curious as to the electorates tolerance for the b.s. that goes on these days. What do you think would be the tipping point for people to march on Washington D.C. and demand that everyone be thrown out.
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoSo what happened to "draining the swamp"?
what "swamp" was she talking about? her backyard? I think it needs to be drained again.
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoTo lower the debt, would you be ok with tax hikes if the pols cut spending.?
I personally would be ok with it. IF they cut spending, cut goverment, cut everything. It's a given that more people need to chip in given the fact that we are running trillion dollar deficits. I'd be ok with it if they'd stop the freebies.
This place is going to go bankrupt people.
but they need to cut goverment big time if they are going to raise taxes. and that should be on EVERYONE not just one bracket. all brackets. even the poor can come up with they share of spending that goes to defend them.
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat did the Lama say to Barack that made China so upset?
Gunga Lagunga?
The flowing robes, the grace....magnificant
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow do you deal with the ex trashing you to your kids?
So my daughter told me that I lie all the time and how the reason I am the way I am is because my parents treated me bad and didn't care for me the way that normal parents care for their kids
and how my Mom should have stayed home with me when I was growing up.
I'm hearing this from my 11 year old daughter.
How should I respond to this? The ex is driving me crazy.
14 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoDo woman coerce men into lying?
When the following questions are asked?
Do I look fat?
Were you looking at that waitress?
Do you like my parents?
Do you like french food?
Do you like what I got you?
Are they big enough?
Is my butt too big?
Was dinner ok?
Want to watch Dancing with the Stars with me?
you tell the truth, you get to sleep on the couch, you lie and later on, you're called a "liar".
Is it a catch 22?
10 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWhat's so out of the ordinary about catatonic mood swings?
"The book contends that Palin was a mentally unstable person prone to wild mood swings, describing her being hopelessly lost in a "catatonic stupor" at one point during the campaign"
Ummmm last time I checked Sarah Palin was a woman. So...applying certain axioms of life
Women = catatonic mood swings
Sarah Palin = Woman
Sarah Palin = catatonic mood swings (by using the transitive property)
ok. so what's the news?
I still say, she would have been great. Who knows on one of her mood swings, she might have even told the Russians, F__K off, we can put our missles anywhere we want. and told Israel, "you can proceed......."
all well and good in my book.

so in his case, no worries.
2 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoCan I get a job as a airport full body scanner specializing in screening female passengers?
it could be lumped into the stimulus category
5 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWould their be more support for reducing the size goverment if everyone got an additional bill?
for all the goodies that are thrown in to get these cronnies relelected every year?
If everyone had to pay for all the stimulus plans and billions upon billions of dollars out of peoples pockets right now. People I believe would have a religious moment and stop it all.
the gov wouldn't be able to just print money. they have to stop spending.
1 AnswerPolitics1 decade agoShould the feds shut down the goverment?
So since our national debt has been exceeded, I think the best way to start paying down the debt is shut the federal goverment down. Tell Chucky Shumer to go home flip burgers.
7 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoHow can debt be paid off if manufacturing is being offshored?
If goverment continues to raise regulations on businesses to the point of drive companies to send work overseas, and continues to rack up debt, I don't see how that debt can be paid off if we don't have workers that produce items that people are willing to buy.
Debt from WWII era was paid off by our immense manufacturing base that was created in the 50's and 60's. Since we are racking up massive debt now, how is that going to be paid off if Americans are not making anything.
I don't see it happening.
3 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoAre we a "rich" country?
I know by the world's standards we maybe are a rich country but when you have to borrow money to fund your goverement and are TRILLIONS in debt, you're only rich in name only.
I think this wealth transfer idea is a COMPLETE scam. Where do people get off thinking that by giving countries with dictators money is going to solve the world's environmental problems.
Global warming may be happening but it's not man that is doing it. We can't control the weather. This is a religion not science.
11 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWill there be a new Leisure Suit Larry Game - Tiger Woods edition?
If he loses his sponsership he could pick up (no pun intended) a new gig as the inspiration of this valued franchise.
Or could be bundled into a version of his golf simulation game. Or is that just another "hot coffee" moment?
