For some reason you guys seem to think profit pays taxes or employs people. Profit is the money that is left over AFTER all the employees and taxes and other expenses get paid. Many, many businesses run without generating a profit. Many services operate at a constant cost. Many thousands of people are employed by companies that make no profit and some of those comanies even pay taxes based on revenues unlike most of their for profit counterparts.

Profit is a great big scheme to get you - the worker - to work for less than you should so that someone above you can make more than they should. Its a pyramid scheme. It is a way to get us all to pay more than we should for things that last less long than they should. Afterall whats the use of making a product that lasts forever? Then you can only sell it once.

Apparently its required to register as a (R) for you to have absolutely no compassion for anyone even though you are the most likely to claim to be religious. What gives? Do you think Jesus would come on Y!A and make racisist, inflammatory or beligerent posts?

Recently after pulling into a parking lot on my motorcycle and stopping a cop pulled up to me and rolled down his window. The first words out of his mouth were, "You wanna keep that bike?" in a very threatening and condescending tone. First of all it was an empty threat, apparently he thought I was speeding, secondly is this how someone who supposedly is out to protect and serve is supposed to interact with the public he is supposedly serving? This is not my only experience of this nature and I have heard many other similar stories. Whats the deal? Why do we let them get away with treating people this way?

I hear this catchphrase all the time, "government screws up everything", like what? Our roads, bridges and highways work pretty well. Our legal system functions as well as it likely could under its inherent constraints. I feel like our country functions pretty well where government is concerned. Its the private industries like finance, insurance, health care, and auto production that seem to be screwing it up. Whats with the misinformation?

Really I can not understand how you can say Obama and liberals are trying to control every aspect of your life and socialism and blah blah blah but the reality is that the Republican party has been trying to do that for years. They have been trying to legislate THEIR moral code - both unconstitutional and meddling - fighting Roe v Wade and gay marriage, they have tried to pry into US citizens lives with the patriot act and other great legislation, they have spent our money on wars and bombs and huge defense contracts with absolutely no benefit to the US people except their cronies, they have concentrated the wealth into the top 1% of the population to a higher level than it has been ever - wealth redistribution. What is responsible about any of this and where was all this "claimed "responsibility for the last decade? How come it has just emerged in the last 3 months?

Republicans instituted the first federal income tax in the US and now they want to have a party so they can be the ones to tell us how bad its gotten. Isn't this the same kind of judgement that got our economy where it is now?

It can't possibly be fiscal conservatism. It certainly isn't the human rights advocate of Lincoln's time. Is there a party platform anymore?

I have studied economics and I have studied political ideologies, I have researched both of these theories of economics and other than the obvious, which I am sure everyone will point out, I see no difference. To me they are both a bully saying "hey everybody give me all the money and then I promise I'll share with you." The difference is in socialism the same people are doing both the lying and the stealing. Cynicism aside, I would really appreciate an intelligent answer.

Your party is running another "conservative" but what does that mean to you? I would appreciate an intelligent answer to the following questions.

What does it mean to be a Republican? Do Republicans support laissez-faire or nationalized banking? Do Republicans support a balanced budget or half-trillion-dollar deficits? Do Republicans want a "humble foreign policy" like George W. Bush, or preventive war against countries that pose no threat, like, umm, George W. Bush? Are Republicans the party of limited government or a vast Medicare prescription drug benefit? Are they wary of Big Brother or eager to expand warrantless wiretaps? Do they support Christian values or torture? Are they the party that believes that cutting-edge technology can shoot a missile out of the sky or the party that believes humans and dinosaurs walked the earth simultaneously?

He has a case pending against Obama in federal court claiming that Obama is not a citizen. First, the website takes donations - I wonder how much money 50 million page hits equals. Second, he puts ludicrous misleading statements on there that amount to legal trickery. For example he has this whole bit about Obama admitting all his accusations but really the DNC and Obama did not file a response which legally amounts to admitting in civil cases. Instead the DNC filed a motion to dismiss because the case is BS and totally lacking merit.

Why is this guy doing this if it aint about money?

(look it up) How can you look around at what has happened in this country over the last decade and say that changing that course is "going to ruin the country and make us socialists"? First of all we are already part socialist - every democracy in the world is - second of all would you rather put money in the hands of the middle class in the form of new jobs or would you rather put YOUR TAX dollars into the pocket of some Wall Street fat-cats in the form of corporate profits? Many other democratic countries have been forced to make this choice and have chosen to socialize industries that are non-competitive and provide products or services that are necessities for their people. What got us out of the Great Depression? Tax cuts for the rich?

Pull the wool off! - stop defending your attackers! They hate you and want to keep you on the edge of poverty so the can buy a 14th house.

Republicans undeniably had control of the executive and legislative branches of Government for the first 6 years of Bush's administration. Explain how a Republican controlled congress had bills "blocked" by Democrats? Do you even understand how the process works? Even if Democrats wanted to block the majority partys' plans they could not do so. I give you the "Patriot Act" or how about those great tax-cuts that were going to help us stave off a recession.

Repubs knew a long time ago this would happen. What they also knew is that when it did they wouldn't get hurt and they could blame the dems.

We have outlawed almost all other forms of hate yet political hatred is not only acceptable it is REQUIRED. How can we be a tolerant and understanding people if we are filled with the hate that politics promotes?
